Are there so many prosti, ie authorities give approvals only when paid?

Last week, we forked out 30% of a P5.7 million payola to a hatchet man for a document needed in developing a project.in Southern Tagalog (Region IV)   There is no need to go through an SB presentation, first reading etc, public hearing. by coming across.  Otherwise it would take endless meetings and hearings.    We thought this to be a convenient mode, and we can get the permit at once.  Tomorrow, we go to a R I city  and pay more than half a million payola to distinguished gentlemen of local govt., in exchange for a resolution and a permit.

They say the big telcos made them get used to this type of thing, forking between P300t to P500t to have a tower cleared and erected for no delay at all.

But why should we pay extra for things that can be given due course.  All problems and conflicts are dilemmas are posed along the way to up the value of the payola.

At the end of the day it is all about money as Julia Roberts discussed with Richard Gere while in bed.  She said, it may be shameful to be a prosti, ie to do something only in exchange for money.  Richard Gere, he too may be a prosti because he only works for money.

The men we meet and talked with for this projects in public looked so statemanly and leader like, great.   But at the end of the day, they will grant approval only in exchange for money.   And in a way, they have demeaned themselves, and like Julia Roberts and Richard  Gere, in the process lowered their stature/value by being prosti.

From GMA News - Sen Sonny Trillanes files plunder case vs. Sen Richard Gordon

From CNN - Trillanes files plunder case vs Gordon

Sen. Antonio Trillanes IV made good his threat to file plunder case vs. Sen Richard Gordon. In a 22 page  (24 sa CNN) affidavit that he filed before the Ombudsman today, Trillanes alleges that:

     1.  From 2004 to 2011 Gordon used his PDAF  worth P193 million to the  Red Cross and Sen Dick conspired with the Sec. Gen Gwendolyn Pang for anomalous projects  ( CNN report mentions the total is about P400 million

"In a 24-page document, Trillanes said Gordon allocated P193 million from his Priority Development Assistance Fund (PDAF) to Red Cross from 2004 to 2011, with some funds coursed through the Department of Social Welfare and Development.
He added another P200 million was allocated from Gordon's PDAF to Red Cross with the help of former Red Cross Secretary General Gwendolyn Pang. Pang is also facing charges."

Who is Pang?  That is the pretty lady at the left

     2. That the disbursements/projects were made without approval of the Board of Governors,

     3.  That the disbursements were made without benefit of public bidding as is required for govt funded projects by an NGO

    4.  That Sen Gordon continued to be trustee of Red Cross despite being a Senator in violation of  Govt Laws:   ethics and corrupt practices act.

    5.  It was alleged that the funds so diverted were used in Presidential and Senatorial bids of the Sen Dick

We still wish to ascertain the charges.

Some criticism

1  What ever it is it seems that the senatorial candidates especially those who are not well off or who do not have financial  backers are forced to commit high crimes.  As was in the case of Sen de LIma.  She allegedly used the Drug Lords at Bilibid to fund her candidacy

2.  And now Sen Dick Gordon as alleged.....

3. Di dapat pala 4 Senador, Sen Dick included ang nakulong.  Selective justice nga ba Ombudsman?

Many Pro Dutertes hate the  guts of Trillanes saying he is off his rockers and is crazy.  But he was an honor graduate of PMA and multiple skills and is making a lot of sense.  His charges are well researched  thought of and planned, and very smart as he  conducts his questioning

Many vs Duterte are glad there is Sonny Trillanes. What do you think

From INQ - Bayan apologizes to Ombudsman

In a televised interview with Karen Davila, Rep.Ron Salo head of Kabayan Party List has disowned newly appointed Presidential Spox Harry Roque as member of their party.  The disowning was done in several taped interviews.

Kabayan had earlier apologized to Ombudsman for unsavory remarks of said Roque for making allegations about prosecutors of Ombudsman being involved in bribery.  (dismissal of fertilizer scams and national broadband)

Cong Harry Roque, seems to be doing a good job as Pres. Spox, having the gift of gab.    He seems to be doing better than former spox.   And the master Pres.  seems to be doing fine in fueling more infighting at the Bayan organizaiton

Meanwhile, Harry Roque filed several ethics complain vs. Rep. Salo

Image result for donation to the church is a holy act

Articles regarding contribution to the church

I was stunned by the declaration of the head of a church which relies only on fundamental Bible teaching when he said that donating is a sacred act.   And therefore they do not accept donations from non members or from whom they think the donation was ill gotten  Taking funds from unbelievers is prohibited (3 John 7; see also 2 Corinthians 6:14-18).

But the Roman Catholic church and even during the days of Noli Me Tangere was known from people from high places who did not necessarily got their wealth from legal sources.

Donations giving, result from the unity of the donor with Jesus or God.

So some people resist donating or giving, but we have encouraged this organization to give 10% of its income to various advocacies:   building schools, donations to feeding programs, orphanages, and home for the aged.

Reasons why we should donate:

1.  It is an obligation
2.  It is  privilege
3.  It is a form of stewardship
4.  An act of worship
5.  An investment

So better start giving.

The devil is source of confusion and trouble in this world

God is perfect, he will not be source of trouble and confusion

Many ask if we have benevolent God, why does he allow troubles to come and affect us?  God is perfect and will not allow bad things to happen to us to his creation whom he saw as the Best

So in the morning we are confused by the news:

1. Motorcycles collide, two dead
2.  Truck and  car collide all occupants dead;
3.  The MRT again malfunctioned, the passengers had to walk
4.  The Maute group about to invade Manila
5.  PDRD30 to declare revolutionary government  -  chilling scenario

The world is under the confusion of the devil.
11. 2 Corinthians 4:4 in whose case the god of this world has blinded the minds of the unbelieving so that they might not see the light of the gospel of the glory of Christ, who is the image of God.
So if a lot of bad things happen to you in the day, you did not pray hard enough, or you were not determined to make your work perfect
Do not allow the devil to rule your day

Higher quality of play at NCAA and UAAP

Ateneo sweeps first round 12 -0 as it beats UST Growling Tigers, 102 -83

I often watch the games of NCAA and  UAAP because they look like real basketball to me.  The PBA is a mere intramurals of the theme to the MVP group (well except may be Ginebra)  Sana alisin ang mga imports.

There are also imports at NCAA and UAAP but maybe limited to one at any time.

I watched the LPU San Beda game and wow, the level of play is way way higher than the NCAA of yore and even when the series started this year  LPU Pirates certainly did great and their school should remember their great performance this year.  You should have watched the SSC- R, Letran, and SSC -R game. You should have marvelled at the tough defense, steals, 3 point shot and attacks at the painted area by the Golden Stags. If they did not get to championship, they just lost to really really champion teams.  But next year watch out for them

And so with the Ateneo Eagles UST Growling Tigers match today.  It could have been an upset with the brilliant performance of Oliver  de Guzman.  It became a 4 point game at one point.

UST played as if it were a championship game.  Brilliant passes. And attacks.  Treys.   Their import played well too.  UST Growling Tigers should be proud of what they did today. The breaks went against them:    too many turn overs, travelling calls going against them.

Most memorable was the slam dunk of Ravena - a hammer dunk.

May be the Jesuits are closer to God than OPs  (Hehe that is an old joke)

Caring for the bottoms

It is so gratifying and makes one very happy when we see businesses caring for customers, caring for the comfort of their customers rather than merely caring for their bottom lines.  Well they do care about our bottoms.  Thanks to them.  Some of them are Shell, Caltex, Petron and in our place PTT.

Cheers. Bottoms up ha6.

Thanks to the irregularly shaped roads, priorities given to tricycles and West bank, a 200 meter ride took as almost an hour

The TMG.  Sometimes only 20 vehicles were allowed to go
                                             per interval

Many wonder why traffic take so long.  The one that I observed and was able to take pictures of was in Highway 2000 at the end of C6. The travel took us nearly an hour.  a distance of mere 200 meters.

What were the causes?

1. Irregular shaped roads: some were narrow some were wide;

2.  Tricycles who cut in and out of traffic

3.  A traffic terminal near the intersection

4.  Traffic enforcers who give priority to vehicles at the West Bank and (tricycles.)  They are the tricycle's  champions.  TMG -  Tricycle Management Guards

The bridge is about to be finished and hopefully that will ease the traffic

But the above should be looked into too

                                                       nowhere
