40 richest people in the PHL

Social and political criticisms

From ABS CBN news  posted 6/25/2012

The Philippine is now on unknown territory.  Phisix has breached for the first time the 6,000 mark;  the dollar to the peso is hovering at Php40:   $l.  Philippines would have one of the strongest currency growth in the region and 2nd highest appreciation of the stock market (Thailand is number one at 35%:  PHL is 32%)

Does the billionaire list of richest Filipinos have anything t do with this?

The PHL riches list is being replaced by new names... Upstart new entrepreneurs who became successful.... The old rich may be getting old, losing steam and drive.  The new ones are very agresssive

PNP generals linked to jueteng ?

Social and political criticisms

From Manila Times  June 2012

News report earlier linked two top generals to Jueteng collection.  This was according to an email sent by certain Molly Acuna who is under the Intelligence Group of PNP.  Molly was accused of being a jueteng collector for his bosses.

In the light of the recent Atimonan ambush which is alleged an anti - jueteng <or guns for hire ops> is there a link?  Are the top guys involved?

Atimonan shoot -out linked to jueteng?

Pnoy Regime conducive to gun ownership?

Social and political criticisms

From Manila Times.net  January 16, 2013

Columnist Bobby Tiglao notes the proliferation of guns under the regime of the current regime. <this is not to mention his close ties with his shooting buddies>  Colt 45 from China are being sold via the net.  The people in the govt have for their sports target shooting.

The Atimonan shoot out, the accidental shooting of Nicole in a New Year revelry points to the love of guns by Filipinos, taking a cue from the leader.

Is this the right sports for the President?

Will the love of guns be deterrent to crimes?

Can peace finally come to our broken land?

Checkpoint incident was an ambush, not a shoot - out?

Social and political criticisms

From GMA news

January l4, 2013.  Manila. GMA news.  It was reported that the deadly checkpoint incident in Atimonan seven days ago was not a shoot out but an ambush.  The windows of the vehicles were closed and the shots to the vehicles outnumbered the alleged exit  of bullets from the vehicle.  One of the vehicles (latest report) was  214 entry points and 96 exit points;  the other SUV had 59 entry points and 33 exit points.  The exit points merely meant that bullets went through and through.  It did not mean the vehicle occupants were able to fire back.

Why was the shooting so ferocious?

Were the lives of the personnel in great danger?

Is this in Mindanao;  was there a war?

We have plenty of bullets?

No rules of engagement?
