Our activists, honed in the ways of Mao (many studied in China;  remember the BAC 111 hijacking that flew PUP and UP students to China) have conditioned us with the rantings vs American imperialism.  Now the American imperialists, who are now broke are gone, we have a new breed of imperialists:  the Chinese.  And since we have driven away the Americans and their bases, who is going to help us.

And the funny thing is the activists still rally in front of US embassy.  US is not our enemy.  Why not protest at the Chinese embassy.  We are really behind times.

Our activists are bankrupt;  are behind in their ideologies and loyalties.

Can PHL Wage War Vs. China on Its Intrusion?

 From the way it looks, China is bent on occupying the territory that does not belong to her. With 5 gunboats (the height of gunboat diplomacy - can they send artillery as far as Olongapo?), the cards, the odds are not in favor of PHL:

 1. Count on US? US is broke; it cant even probably buy its own ammo now. It has to borrow from China (hahaha) With China owing trillion of dollars to China, can it rattle its saber for PHIL?

 2. Go to UN; we hope so. But China is spending at least 20% of its GDP ($14.9 trillion last year) on defense (or offense) It has both military and economic power.

 3. Follow the advise of Enrile, Biazon and Lacson. Are we on suicide mode. Let us lick our wounds and wag our tails. We failed to arm ourselves early on. Singapore bought F-16 long time ago and tanks to show that it can defend itself. These planes are flown to remind everyone of that fact


. Now that we squandered our money on our generals and their pabaon, we have to suffer the humiliation. If we are going to do something else; let us not announce them so that they can not prepare. This is the time for our radicals and students to go to the streets; otherwise they are Chinese puppets, tools of Chinese imperialists after all and Chinese agents.

There are various stories that tell that the end of the world is on that date:   Nostradamus, the Mayan calendar, including the scriptures.  There are also other things like passing of the Planet X, Nubiru whose gravitational attraction will cause, according to the savants of the magnetic field, earthquakes, tsunamis and what have you.

Are all of these things true?

What must we do?

 Can anyone survive?

For InC their belief is that Jesus Christ is the Son  of God but he can not be God.

If Jesus Christ were born in our midst would we recognize Him.

For the Moslems too, Jesus is but another prophet.

I came across a LIGNET report (Langley Intelligence Gathering Net -  publication of CIA, fed to internet) analyzing the problem in the middle east.  The problem in Iran, Somalia, Yemen, Afghanistan, Syria are all inter related.  They are financed by Iran who has a  an imperialist ambition, as probably Darius (Persian empire) has done in the past.  If Iran is successful, it would mean its world domination as it would control the oil and oil traffic.  Somalia, Yemen near the Gulf of Hormuz are passageway/choke points of traffic of oil tankers from the oil fields of the middle east.

That is how the West see it and against the West domination.  That means, this is one reason why oil prices will remain high.

This struggle and threat of war hangs in the air and the jitters send the price of oil sky high.

I saw a former classmate having coffee with his young thing whom he claims as a business partner in one of the malls.  You see his business is making paintings on the street.  He has 5 of this stuff and does contract with DPWH and provincial governments.  He must be having great business.

My conversation with other contractors doing business with govt, indicates that the 20/40%  commission to those who award, inspect, certify and audit the construction project has not been altered.
 Business as usual.  Even with Tamang daan.

The Jeppney Drivers and Operators got their Fare Increase But then....

After staging caravans, the jeepney drivers and operators got what they want.... a fare increase. As provided for by law.  But as provided for by law, do they or will they:

l.  Stop staging strikes and protest movement that are contrary to their franchise and public service?

2.  Stop smoking as they drive?

3.  Stop smoke belching?

4.  Follow traffic laws:   unload load in designated areas only?

5.  Wear proper attire while driving.

Authorities can afford to be strict with bus and fx drivers and operators.  But not with tricycle and jeepney drivers and association.  I wonder why?

What? The CJ had sterling scholastic records?

Whoever said that the Honorable CJ was an honor student in his school days may be testing the limits of truth.  So many alumni are howling in protest.  The sympathy to the CJ may have the sympathy of the alumni of the school where he graduated from.  But misrepresenting the scholastic achievement of the CJ may have removed many sympathizers for his cause.

That simply means that one of the Articles of Impeachment on integrity and probity has its merits.  But then again, the prosecution cant present evidences any more.

Haste Makes Waste

It is very possible that CJ may escape prosecution.  The gravest of all the article of impeachment, that of underdeclaration of SALN may be clearly explained by the defense after all.  And the Basa testimony?  That may just be a ploy to explain the millions in the bank account.  The unexplained money/wealth may be explained after all by a landgrabbing case.  It may be illegal, but then again it is another story.  It is not in the articles of impeachment.

For the prosecution, haste makes waste.  After all, many of the party members somehow signed the impeachment complaint in haste.   Evidences were not strong or available.  The man of laws got the upper hand.  After all that is the game he knows.
