I am reminded of this incident of a quote from, Khalil Gibran "Your children are not your children. They are sons and daiughters of Life's longing for iteself.
A relative who is an octogenarian recently remarried and was able to bring him back his children, his sons and daughter and laws and grandchildren. It was a grand event. And he had very kind and obedient children and in laws to have acceded to travel thousands of mile to attend this important event. Like a salmon, my relative came back to his native land, after living abroad and raising his children in foreign land.
My thinking is that his children while his blood runs through their veins are all ready foreigners and can not be like him, to assume his nationality. Their country of domicile is no longer this country. And the social media post that said his father got married again in his "native land" certainly revealed this truth
