Sens Richard Gordon and Trillanes had a heated argument yesterday at the Senate hearing on BOC involvement in shipment of P6.4 billion worth of shabu allegedly facilitated by the Davao group. Trillanes wants to summon VM Paolo Duterte, and Mans Carpio, as the Senate had summoned Councilor Small Abellera. This were due to the testimony of BOC facilitator Mark Taguba before the Senate where he mentioned the Davao group and the names of Tia Nanie, Mars Carpio (the husband of the DC Mayor). Sen Dick Gordon would have none of the Trillanes request, in the absence of documentary evidence (he is right from the lawyer point of view)
Who is suspending judgment here? Sen Gordon or Trillanes? Let us grill them first before we say they are not involved.
Now Mark Taguba retracted his statement, saying that all is based on hearsay: despite the ff:
From GMA news, Taguba retracts, clears name of DU30 son in law from BOC anomalies
1. Text messages between him and the Davao group personality
2. His alleged meeting with Small Abellera and payment of millions of pesos for alleged enrollment fee.
We cant tell for sure who is telling the truth but the fact is it stinks at BOC, and is dirtying the DU30 reputation and we certainly doubt his sincerity to rid the country of corruption, after Faeldon, looked from every angle being very much sucked into corruption. (He would rather be jailed rather than testify)
One wonders too about the truth in the statement of CPP Head Jo Ma Sison that the biggest drug lord sits at the highest post in the govt.
But Sen. Lacson mentioned the Davao group in his privileged speech.
I can testify that corruption from my personal experience that corruption is very much alive and rampant at the LGU level. Blame the empowerment thing from local govt code
