SMC had earlier expressed concern over the financial management of the MMP (In a column at Inquirer, a columnist Bernie Lopez, mentioned the good father's" lavish lifestyle," living in 5 star hotel while travelling, watching the French Open) and his inner circles mismanagement of funds collected) He was wondering why Fr. Suarez, having entered the devil's den still has the healing power. He mentioned Sr. Raquel Reodica who stopped the fund raising activities when her healing powers diminished
The Montemaria project which would cost billions, was envisioned to be taller than the Statue of Liberty, and global healing center.
