Presser today by Senators Ping Lacson, Tito Sotto, Mayor Isko Moreno Sec. Gonzales, and Dr. Willie Ong on withdrawal - they are not

It is more fun criticizing

This post caught the latter part of the presser.  Sens Ping Lacson, Tito Sotto, Isko Moreno, Dr. Willie Ong, Sec Norberto Gonzales.   Manny Pacquiao, Leody de Guzman,  Dr. Montemayor, Mr. Abella, Mr. Faisal Mangondato were not in attendance.     Sen. Ping Lacson clarified the objectives of the presser:

            1.  That they are not withdrawing
            2.   Not to believe the deception  (includes the surveys and crowd estimates of meetings)
            3.   Not to subvert the results of the election

Sen Ping said that we should remove the binary mentality, sa pula sa puti, that the battle for Presidency is between LR and BBM;  there are other options.  There are anecdotes of supporters shifting alliance to BBM because they disliked LR, and vice versa.   There are other options

Mayor Isko Moreno said that for anyone to commit the supreme sacrifice it should be the VP because her main reason for running that she must prevent Marcos family comeback does not work.   Isko, Ping Lacson and the rest of candidates are offering something for the people.    Ping said, the VP,, being a woman cnaged her mind.    On so many occasions before filing  COCC SHE SAID SHE WOULD not run  And yet when the filing of COC time came, she filed.

But whoever withdraws, LR or the other candidates, it is not possible to close the gap on lead of BBM

Jeepney drivers strike over continued unjust arrests

It is more fun criticizing

Rizal Philippines  | December 2, 2013

From Inquirer News | December 2, 2013

The FEDOJAP, headed by Zenaida Maranan went on strike early this morning to protest the alleged "unreasonable apprehensions by traffic enforces in Manila"  Some 3000 to 4000 units were involved in the protest action.  She said that the protest will continue because she felt that Vice Mayor Isko Moreno does not have anything concrete to solve the issue.

Really, can the VM solve the problem.

It is Christmas time, and for the traffic enforcer, who does not get much anyway to arrest, and make hay while he may.  What else is new?  When the NPA still roamed freely, the Sparrow attacks had a way of stopping this banal act dead on its tracks.

But there should be a better way because the drivers are shooting themselves in the foot and hare hurting their customers;  damned if they do, damned if they dont.

The Manila bus ban - will Isko and Erap lose if elections were held today?

Social and political criticisms

Rizal  | PHL  |  July 30, 2013

The bus ban in Manila is clearly a big issue now because it is inconveniencing a lot of commuters:  students and workers, well mostly from suburbs and from Manila too.  The irate public would surely express their displeasure by not voting the two top guns in Manila if elections were held today.

The question again is who has the right to grant or remove franchise from utility companies:  the LGU or the franchising body?

It has also become a turf battle?  Who wins or loses is immaterial in this turf war:   the general public is the loser
