Social and political criticisms
From Newsmax | July 28, 2013
The US Federal govt has allocated to about $74 billion to the food stamp program that is benefitting some 47.4 million Americans. But such food assistance, according to New York Post and Boston Herald find their ways being shipped abroad. They are placed in $40.00 dollar barrel and filled over time and shipped to Carribean countries. (That $74 billion would roughly equal the annual budget of the PHL)
Where does US get the money from this food stamps - from debt naturally. Welfare states, socialists programs have to finance these assistance to the poor through heavy borrowings. The money could have been better spent on building new factories, industries support of new enterprise (by tax incentives - the govt does not have to spend for it.) But governance is not all about efficiency and effectiveness.
It is about votes.

Pressure cooker bombs used for years by terrorists? Why was not it detected at Boston?
Social and political criticisms
From Newsmax | by Ted Beamon | April 16, 2013
The authorities are said to be going over video to ID the bombing suspects at Boston marathon finish line. (No arrest has been made despite announcements) The bombers used pressure cooker bombs placed about 100 feet apart and explosions timed at 12 secs apart. The use of the said type of bomb was published in the Al Qaeda Magazine Inspire on line in 2010.
The pressure cooker bomb is most effective, is easy to prepare and escapes detection. Dog sniffer cant detect pressure cooker bombs.
This may be the reason why despite huge resources of Homeland Security, and being in a steady state of war, the police/security was unable to prevent such bombing

War Imminent between North and South Korea?
Social and political criticisms
Some dismissed this as an empty threat. But lately NK said it was closing down economic zone <it us where aid and trade between North and South Korea flows) between North South Korea.
It must be understood that the new leader is capable of doing this difficult and risky decisions; he was said to have been involved in terroristic attack that involved the crashing of a Korean Airline.
Will there be war between North and South Korea? Will North Korea be brave enough to attack US?
