Reflections
I just came from travel abroad in Southeast Asian countries. And they were not very nice. In a hotel in famous free port, the porter asked me to carry my luggage. In a no star hotel in the PHL, that action is unthinkable or unheard of. The driver of a van for hire was cursing when we were late for a couple of minutes in the pick up point. We cursed back in the vernacular! Here we are spending our hard earned money being cursed by a..... (mere driver)
In another Asian country, when they say it cant be, it cant be and will wave your hand across your face. Drivers are naughty and they will fool you with long circuitous route (as in PHL), Are we given a dose of our own medicine.
I think in terms of hospitality, grace, courtesy, we are better than them. That is why most cruise ships and hotels hire Pinoys.
Pinoys be proud.
