The criticism vs the President handling of SAF PNP massacre is a complex issue

It is more fun criticizing

Today is the Lourdes Day. We commemorate the apparition of Virgin Mary at Lourdes France, the site of many healing miracles (there is a replica in San Jose del Monte, Bulacan)

We now hear about many "Resign Pnoy chant" because of his alleged involvement  (direct hand) in the said operation, and his absence during the honor rites as the fallen 44 arrived at VAB.

1.  Well, he is our President and we respect him, as we respect ourselves as a nation.  Take note, the following day, he spent 11 hours with the families of the fallen 44 in the vigil

2.  He is not the enemy but those who killed, brutally slayed the police officer.  Let us run after the enemies.

     1.  Their leadership apologized to the families of the SAF after they slayed them?   What the nerve

3.  That he still advanced the peace process,  the BBL despite the obvious breach of the peace agreement:

     1.  The MILF leadership declared that they are still a revolutionary agreement until the BBL is passed.  Bah.  What the heck.  A P70 billion budget to be footed by Christians so that like Ampatuan later on, they will plunder that and use vs  other Christians in their war activities

     2.  Did you see the interview with the a Brigade Commander of MiLF saying that they are peace loving people and yet he had a cocked 45 on his bandolero with the ammunition pouch.   Peace loving,...? Can you fool us...

   3.  The Spaniards failed to colonize them (the kris wielding Moros) the Americans had to invent the Cal. 45 revolver to stop the amoks, and yet we pretend that we can change their warlike attitude by offering them doves and flowers

Let us be naive Sec Ferrer.  To have peace, we must know our enemies:  If people were borne in a climate of terror and murder, that is the only language they understand

I am not a war freak, nor do I understand the mechanics of war.  War is a fearful thing;   but warlike people must be given a doze of their own medicine.   You remember the story about the scorpion who bit a turtle after the latter gave him a ride across the river.  When asked why he bit the turtle,  the scorpion said that it is the nature of scorpions to bite.

But men enter into a war, to make irrational men, who advocate war (the enemies) to be rational.  Let violence be the antidote for those who only understand violence and terror.

The Jews were right in dealing with Palestinians who terrorized their children and women by having reckless attacks and bombing too that included women and children victims too.  A tooth for a tooth.. Then the violence advocates become more rational.  They will invoke the Geneva convention, the rules of engagement and yet they do nothing rational.  (See also the movie Human FActor starring George Kennedy)

How can we accept the logic behind a terrorist saying that it is in the hand of the govt/negotiator should they kill the hostages, if the negotiator do not come across?  Tell it to an AK 47

Having said that, it is like entering into a peace treaty with a scorpion or a cobra.  Sorry po Pres, Sec Coronel Ferrer.  Let us not be naive. We even allow Malaysians to intrude into our sovereignity.  Let us know our enemies as we deal with them even on the peace table
