Despite the pronouncement that USA has decapitated the leadership of Iranian govt, and that 90% of the military force of the country has been decimated, the fear of mines, fast attack boat, shore ot ship missile strike still spooks the shipping industry.   

While KSA has a pipeline flowing through to the Red Sea, the rest still has to pass the dangerous Strait of Hormuz, only 22 miles at narrowest point.

The author of the video says that peace will finally be brought by this warship, and probably normalcy in trade and price of oil.  This is neither an aircraft carrier nor amphibious landing craft, but it carries troops, aircraft and more.

It was heart pounding watching these videos.  It makes you  afraid but you could notice that those leading the violence looked like they are provocateurs and perhaps paid:   they wore bonnets, had black clothing and wore masks. They were not protesting or  holding a rally.  They were destroying and fighting and hurting authorities.  They destroyed traffic lights, islands and barriers.   This is no way to protest against wrong doing by doing another wrongdoing   They are organized.    And that should be investigated.  The destruction of public property was just as sad and ironic:   protest vs those who plundered govt property.

This post condemns the acts of plunder and pillage of govt treasury;  equally condemnable were acts of anarchy  and crimes against police officers (who had nothing to do with the acts of high govt officials).  We value order vs disorder.  WE are sure there is still Divine Justice

The Sept rally was a perfect storm for many factors:

1.  The Duterte PBBM conflict which included the arrest and extradition to the Hague of PRRD;

2.   The flood control scandal which were featured live on TV provoking anger in many of the watchers.

3.    The anti PBBM growth wanting him to step down for poor governance

4.    The scandalous and hurting display of wealth by nepo babies, the contractors, employees and official of the govt department for roads and highways;  pictures of millions stacked for distribution  to the commissioners (elected govt officials?)

5.   Anomalous GAA with insertions, the diversion of Philhealth, PDIC funds to be part of UA

6.    The widespread huge corruption of govt funds and taxpayers money.

7/    The floods brought about by typhoons and coupled with 2.

The riots were bound to erupt and explode and they did.   

We do not want this order.  We want Peace.   in the Philippines

Former Pres. Duterte despite announcement that PNP will not enforce alleged arrest warrant by ICC was arrested after arriving from HK at NAIA.   What is going to happen to the Duterte political clan?

His alleged crime - crime vs humanity in the conduct of drive vs drug menace. Now we see softening of the efforft and policemen dying now due to drug dealers striking back and fear once more has come back to the street.

There were repeated lies, ie pronouncement from leaders and publicist that the govt will not support ICC.   Quite the reverse -  the govt is in full support of ICC.  They were not able to arrest vs Netanyahu and Putin because their minions were strong vs ICC.  Trump is withdrawing support to ICC.   

Somebody ratted on FPRRD?

What happens to the political powerhouse in Southern Mindanao?

Either they keep quiet and that means the end of the era?   Equally hard pressed is Sarah Duterte who is facing impeachment trial when the Congress resumes after election.   The force against their family is so huge that only one can guess that full resources of the govt is behind the whole debacle.   And one can guess also the architect of the Martial law may be behind this scenario.

Or

They fight back and organize mass action that will see chaos in the country.   Hopefully they choose 1.

Somebody out there is hell bent on controlling the political scenery and even the country's resources.  Much more dangerous than open martial law.  

Let us see.

President Donald John Trump was sworn in as 47th President of the USA.  Many remarked his 2nd term at the White House as Golden Age  for US.  He vowed to end wars and wants to be known as pacifier.

We are awed enthralled, amazed by this inaugural especially by the parade of various marching bands firefighters, police, volunteers, armed forces of USA.  The returning President was honored, supported by the pompous, grandiose inauguration.  What else can we sell.

We wish the President the success and power that he deserves.  May he correct the fumbles and missteps under the past president.   The success of the incoming President and his policies reverbates throught the world.    When USA says others sneezes, the whole world trembles

All ready, he brokered Peace in Israel Gaza conflict.  What happens to Ukraine and Taiwan China?     

He all ready signed 100 Executive Orders.  Some of them include US withdrawing support for the WHO.   and declration of state of emergency at US border with Mexico effectively shutting off illegal migrants from the South.

In bizaree move though outgoing Pres Biden issued pardon to some personalities including some members of his family.

Former Senator Leila de Lima says that the massive 1 million + attendance of the INC KOJC peace rally does not have any impact on stoppage of VP Sarah's impeachment.  It is but an expression of the minorithy.   The law will take its course.

But so far, only 6 have endorsed the VP Sarah's impeachment mostly the members of the progressive block.  (Sign of fear of the congressmen of signing imperilling their reelection bid?)

Slowly peace is reruning to Middle East as Israel and Hezbollah agree to a truce.   Threat of world war diminishes.

UKraine and China Taiwan threat remains.

Why does US have 11 aircraft carriers? Why is China building more? But military experts say they are obsolete!

Are aircraft carriers obsolete?

Consider the positive side:

1.   Frighten and awe

2.   All latest technology are there;

3.  No need for bases

Negative:

1.  Its vulnerable to missile attack. from land, sea - submarine or frigates.    Even in WW 2, in battle of Midway, one pilot was responsible for sinking of two Japanese aircraft carrier

2.  It is very expensive to construct and maintain.   USD 13 billion to build,  and one billion USD a month.   A floating city,  a disaster waiting to happen.

Now what works:

1.  A fleet of drones, or a a carrier of drones

2.  Missiles:   ballistic or cruise

3.  Air defense.  Those who has the best air defense wins

4.  AI  (but shall we have a Terminator situation?

Not because the aircraft carrier won the war for US in the Battle of Midway, means that it can still work for 21st century.  

The best strategy of course is not to go to war.  Make love, peace, not war

Today is the Lourdes Day. We commemorate the apparition of Virgin Mary at Lourdes France, the site of many healing miracles (there is a replica in San Jose del Monte, Bulacan)

We now hear about many "Resign Pnoy chant" because of his alleged involvement  (direct hand) in the said operation, and his absence during the honor rites as the fallen 44 arrived at VAB.
