As we go to the polls tomorrow to elect the Philippines 16th President, it is the fearless forecast of this writer that Duterte will be the next President of the Philippines under a clean and honest election scenario.  I thought before that it was going to be Duterte Bongbong but Bongbong was battered by the martial law campaign, the EDSA rev group about the alleged crimes ill gotten wealth of his late father.  But we would not count out Bongbong yet because, the Duterte supporters may overtue  total Robredo win.    Leni is strong because of her persona as well as because of the resources of the administration.

Binay was weakened by the Trillanes Cayetano attack at the Senate hearing.  Myriam ranks low but her health condition is her problem. We would not want to be led by a leader whose health condition is at risk.   We wonder why Roxas despite the slant the the press, the resources of the administration, the weight of his grand father's name, he could not pull through this one.  And this is his second try.

As for Trillanes attack on Duterte, it came a little bit late.  Maybe he thought that the timing was perfect because it was too late to counter attack having thrown the bomb two weeks before the election.  The trouble was BPI would not want to get the wrath of Duterte supporters and played coy in issuing its certifcation.  It was a dud

His pronouncements that a coup is imminent and that he could lead one again vs Duterte  puts a question on why he was released because he not Duterte is the really dangerous leader and man.  He should not count out the alliances of Duterte  whose party is left of center.   He promised salary increases for soldiers and policeman once elected.  He has the backing of retired general too. So the good failed putsch leader must be careful in his ranting.  It also created fear among people about Duterte. Duterte is a compassionate man  as shown by many videos and as narrated by a colleague when he was consulted by the mayor on FINANCE FOR THE COUNTRY.
