Is it not really a demolition job by Sen Trillanes? Or is it war.? On top of the alleged P2 billion over pricing of govt building construction, Sen Trillanes urges businessmen to speak up regarding the long standing rumors that the City Hall officials grant permits in exchange for condo units (I have heard even a floor for multi stores for condo units) Of course this is not unique to Makati - go anywhere QC, Mandaluyong, Pasig etc. it is the same. It is not tuwid na daan for everyone.
This is an eye opener regarding:
1. difficulty of doing business in the Phil as what the World Bank reports;
2. the high level of corruption in LGUs. that is by an large uncontrolled.
Will they stop after Binay is brought to justice.?

It was my experience to have been asked to cough up 6 numbers for barangay clearance (as is the sop for telcos for microwave towers) and 7 numbers for development permit. Iba sa SB, iba kay mayor at vm. As if we do not know. I said what hath the local govt code wrought. During the time of FM, we had one corrupt emperor. Now we have thousands. Even in the south, when I requested for a city resolution, the quotation by the city planning officer (the courier) was high six numbers.
