A motorcylists was run over by a truck that lost control and his brain splattered on the street. There must be a reason for that. His death was gruesome and gory.
That his brain was scattered all over should serve a purpose. His brain was meant to enrich those who studied and who have large brains too but seem not to use them most of the time as they post on FB or make comments. Lack of critical thinking. Plenty of gutter thinking .
We can improve our country if we improve the way we think (our mindset)

Ito yong post sa FB which is based on an old article which does not have factual

Nademanda ba si David Tan after the Senate hearing? May facts ba to indict him?
From Inquirer - Davao City is now the smuggling capital of the Philippines
Sharing of same news at Facebook
From Philippine Standard (2013) Here BOC is brought to the task not DC Mayor Duterte
There are recycled news (which came out in July 2015) which are unverified allegations that Davao City has now become the smuuglers capital of the Philippines. Who said so? Where are the facts: statistics that compare smuggling all over the PHL? This was based on allegations about plastic rice, leveled at certain David Tan. from an Agri Group. Do they have the data to make such a claim? And that there is an unabated smuggling despite threat from Mayor Duterte not to let the smugglers set foot in Davao.
Certain disturbing things can come out from such news especially the half truths mentioned in Facebook. To the uninformed and those who do not read thoroughly one can get the impression that :
1. Mayor Duterte made Davao the smuggling capital of the Philippines, or that he is the protector of the smugglers;
2. That indeed Davao is the smuggling capital of the Philippines. This is an allegation of an agri group. A lot of sleuthing, investigation is needed to establish that as a fact.
3. That the smuggling can only be checked controlled by the National Government, the BOC, the NBI, the PNP, the anti smuggling task force which are under the direction of the President. and not by a small fry a local LGU executives.
People must get their facts straight before starting a chismis. The thing is these allegations and hints find their way into the newsrooms which get printed and which gets shared in social media.
Ito dapat ma in the news - Si BOC Davao District Collector
Ernesto Ruiz Aradanas at iprito kung bakit DC, if ever has become
smuggling capital of the Philippines. Responsibilidad niya yon
However he said in an interview that the Davao District is one of the best performing District and even received commendations from the Commissioner. How could that be. Baka the public is being duped at internal intrigue at BOC and the agri group and the media are being used

How rubber sap is collected and processed into rubber sheets?
My cousin told me that Mindanao is indeed land of promise. He is servicing several palm oil mills, in war torn areas. The cash crops there are palm oil and rubber The demand for rubber is 500 container load a month in Thailand.
It is easy to earn as much as P150,000 net per hectare for rubber (almost same for hi yield rice SL8) However why are not so many people going into this? Because the lords: gang, war, political prevent people from getting ahead. Once people become wealthy, they become educated and they lose power over them. Hence, they will even kill entrepreneurs? Is that right mam sir.
So rubber farmers are armed with bushmasters and AK 47 or paid MNLF warriors when they go around.
Progress for Mindanao anyone?

Tops ata BOC
I met a cousin, the 2nd eldest son of an uncle whose remains were inured today at Sta Clara Montelfaco in Pasig. He happened to complain about the corruption in the business he is in: logistics and brokerage. As far as he knows there is no tuwid na daan in customs. And the current head of none could be a greater example than the current customs chief. All is a fair game even even for domestic shippers.
He remembers being collared for a P200t grease money to facilitate the release of a shipment for a multinational which was later reduced to only P100t (to whom does this go? The PC of course)
He is aware how the online business that relies on courier are being wiped out by these crooks at Philpost and Customs.
Getting an import license is one of the worst thing that can happen to you. It is syndicate beginning with BIR. See how they fleece you.
There are rumors that the department that handles money and the one who runs the bureau are in cohoots. And that their family are linked to drug syndicate. And not far behind FG in terms of wealth and power. And who can stop these politcal-drug lords (we have one in our province) except the rep from hell: Who? Ang tuwid na daan?
So will he/uou vote for Duterte? Does he think Duterte (whom they call Dutirti because they are dirti) can kill the shenigans at BOC? Well his mom is from CDO, and he prefers to live and do business in Mindanao and Davao.
If Digong gets elected, can he fix the customs and make things easier for brokers, importers and others. He said he can. Will take note of that

Why the economic crash of US is coming? Are the signs clear? The falling stock and oil prices?
Even Russia and KSA are feeling the pinch. They are making money at $80.00/per barrel. Now Brent Crude is selling below $30.00
Then there is the China contagion dragging the world market down.
Is the prediction of Feb 2016 as the timeline for another US collapse?

Invest in companies with assets/commodities

Now that many stocks and Dow Jones is retreating (or free fall) many are thinking that US economy could collapse by Feb 19, 2016. This is being triggered by the 2008 collapse and the reforms have not been installed. The AIIB is challenging the US dollar and even the China malaise that is dragging the dollar and markets around the world down.
Shocking News from Agora Financial
From Business Insider - Hyper inflation - could it happen here?
I did not read this the moment this email marketing came into may inbox but because the headline was catchy, I tried to read this. The headline said that this hoax could be far worse (525 x) worse than the Enron meltdown. A retiree, a millionaire saw his $1.3 retirement nest egg just become $13,000 in a matter of week. Much worse, other stakeholders lost tons of money, and 20,000 became jobless.
A govt company which is 2x more leveraged (77x vs Enron 35x) could collapse anytime that will trigger hyper inflation and untold of poverty in USA. This refers to Federal Reserve Bank.
How did it happen? Well, in the Financial Crisis of 2008, the Federal Reserve Bank bought the assets of too big to fail banks. They bought the subprime assets of the bank that triggered the run. And then the QE (Quantitative Easing) - the Fed bought monthly hundred of billions of banks bonds and other debt instruments. The said venerable bank is no longer venerable. It could go bust anytime. This is what Paul Rand, a Presidential candidate comment on the FED:
If the Federal Reserve was a real bank, without extraordinary powers, it would be insolvent. The Fed has $4.5 trillion in liabilities and only $57 billion in equity. It is leveraged at 80:1, nearly three times greater than Lehman Brothers when it failed.”

The extraordinary power of the Fed is its ability to print money. The trouble is when it does it makes matter worse. Hyperinflation happen. It happens to 3rd world country like Zimbabwe.
where hyperinflation reached several digits. But it also happened in Germany in the 1900 when the money was used to start fire, or you had to bring money in wheel borrow in order to buy bread.

What is the solution: invest in hard assets like gold, fuel, or goods that you will use. Bank assets will be useless later on when there is hyper inflation

PNoy rejects House Bill increasing SSS pension accross the board of P2,000 per month
President Aquino vetoed the bill HB 8242 authorizing P2,000 additional monthly benefits to some 2 million pensioners (I do not know the exact number and estimated this to be about P48 billion a year) Now the SSS total assets amounts to only P400+ billion and without going into actuarial intricacies, P400/40 = 10 years. SSS said the funds will be 0 by 2027. (11 years) We discounted the revenues of about P30 billion a year from members. That should take care of maternity and death benefits which are also substantial.
The Presidentiables and VPresidiantables were quick to ride on the negative reaction to the veto. (without understanding the complex issues)
1. The SSS is private fund; the govt does not own this. It is a self sustaining fund which is maintained by members contribution and the additional income from investments.
2. The investment of SSS is down because the stock market is on free fall, here and abroad.
3. The debt market yield max is 3%; so not much can be expected from investment
4. The proposed law lacked the critical item in any fiscal or budgetary proposal - WHERE DO YOU GET THE MONEY. As of now, there is none. Would you increase the contribution. Pres De Quiros said that you need to up the SSS contribution to make SSS viable if we give the P2t (in the SSS briefing today.
I am not spokesman of PNoy, nor of SSS but the public and even the lawmakers should understand this institution. The President of SSS correctly pointed out that they turned SSS around and therefore it hurts to hear comments that it is ill managed. Those who are leading SSS are respected businessmen executives from the private sector.
Shall we kill the goose that lays the golden eggs. Give the benefits now and worry about where to get the money later. This is a political gimmick by our Congressman, but they should be prepared to back this up with govt subsidy. SSS is a private fund and we shudder at the undue interference to the point of endangering this fund - a social security system

Gazmin Abaya, Honrado at the Standard
It is triple 1 day today: 1/11. Still a prosperous new year greeting to every one. May we not be plagued by problems that hounded us in 2015
Still this past problems crop up. I happened to read the BizNewAsia and in an article penned by veteran newspaperman Toni Lopez, the performance of Pres. BS Aquino and the President.s Men Sec/Cong Emilio Abaya, Gen Voltaire Gazmin and MIAA GM Jose Angel Honrado were severely criticized.
Cong Abaya who a PS High School scholar, grandson of the first President of the Phil (Emilio Aguinaldo,) Sec. Gen of LP, a scientist, Master in Electrical Engineering in Cornell, law in Ateneo Law School, Bachelors Degree in Math in Annapolis Naval Academy is being toasted for the frequent breakdown of trains, the laglag bala and the poor operations of MIA. Gen Gazmin is being criticicsed for DND procurement of pre owned but defective helicopter. Well, Honrado was the GM interviewed by Karen Davilal who said he cant be held responsible for the actions of people of the 22 agencies reporting to MIAA (waddduh??? Kaya nga AUTHORITY OPISINA NILA) Honrado is a former CO of PAF.
What is noted about these officers are their close association with Pres. BS: Abaya was former aide de camp of his mother, Gazmin was former PSG uinder his mother, and Honrado is a relative.
Pres BS was quick to defend Honrado because he said the incident of Laglag, Tanim bala is a very tiny percentage as compared to the millions of arrival in various airports (It is not expected comment from the Pres) . The laglag bala went on a worldwide trending was criticiaed by CNN and Fox News. And that Abaya (there at least 20 MRT glitches recorded monthly by CNN ) should not be merit firing as of now.
Well sad ending note for Pres BS. It is a good leadership to stand by your men who are being pilloried; it even bad to side with them when they are very wrong. especially if they are relatives or party mates
