Lone gunman at RWM killing identified; Jessie Carlos, acted on his own due to personal reasons, not an ISIS attack

It is more fun criticizing

The lone gunman who caused the death of 37 people (38 him included) was identified today by NCRPO press conference  led by Gen Albayalde (it just ended as of this hour) as Jessie Carlos.  His parents were there and they asked forgiveness for him causing the death of the loved ones in the incident.  The mother claimed he had no bisyo (what is being hooked to gambling)

What do they know about him:

1.  Former employee of DOF; but fired for misdeclaration of  SALN

2.  Some of his investments turned sour; and he was hooked to gambling

3. He had many problems probably because he had gambling debts;  He even sold his property in Batangas to cover up some of his debts.

4.  His next of kin requested PAGCOR to ban him from casinos;  This probably angered him. causing him to take a revenge.

5.  He lives in Felix Huertas and there were CCTV footage that showed him where he hailed taxis (but they did not stop)

He was known to be a casino high roller (betting is lowest P40,000)

How was he identified:

1.  From the taxi driver who told him where he was picked up

2. The police inquired   and  did some sleuthing and called up the relatives and they confirmed

How was he able to enter RWM

From Rappler:  From Rappler - What we know about the lone RWM gunman

The man got off at the drop-off area close to the parking entrance at around 12:07 am on June 2. From there, he somehow entered the premises through the parking lot and used an elevator with two other women.

In a statement, Resorts World security noted that he was “in plain clothes, with a back pack, and with no visible firearms.” Turns out, he had an M4 rifle inside his bag.

The man alighted at the second floor and moved to the parking area where he wore a mask, his ammunition vest, and took out his rifle.

From the parking area, the man entered the mall proper at around 12:11 am. He walked past the metal detector, prompting mall security to chase after him. He then took out the assault weapon, causing the security guard and other people nearby to run away in panic.

What do we learn from this:

1   While Casinos are raking in income for the govt and money from high rollers they are root of impoverishment and problems of the players.  Even foreigners are known to leave casinos with nothing on their back

     1.  A lot of loan sharks operate in casino where loans are made fast, with ridiculous low collateral valuation (as a much as 10% per day/week) with protection from authorities

    2.  Cause of family problems

    3.  The Bangladesh scam has not been resolved.     Without the proper law, money laundering may still be happening in the casinos

2.  Casinos taketh away, they do not create anything for the society, nor contribute to economic development.  It causes poverty and social problems instead for which we pay a high price.

2.  Security must be improved in such places.  Why was it so easy for him to enter the RWM mall so easily and why was he able to overpower some of the guards?   (They must be armed with high powered weapons to;  they seemed to be intimidated by M4 rifle of Carlos)

Now we know for sure that this is not terrorist attack but attack by somebody who is in deep trouble with his addiction to gambling, being banned at the casino, and he took a revenge on the casino tables and the casino

So much for talk about ISIS and creation of scenario for martial law.
