Growing fear of flying - too many air crashes and air travel related accidents

It is more fun criticizing

There has been a rash of air travel accidents:   one in Korea by the end of December, air collision last week at Washington DC between an American Airlines pasenger jet and Black Hawk helicopter, an air ambulance that crashed in Philadelphia,  a helicopter crash at Nueva Ecija (fatality was pilot of Willie Revillame and Sen Bato) and most recently a plane fire in South Korea.

Why are there so many accidents involving air travel?    Has the law of averages caught up with us?  Or its fated for this year?  Did God will these?

Firefighter died and Jesus showed him fire has not stopped

It is more fun criticizing

The fireman saw that the fire he saw in LA was unlike the fire he saw.  It was huge and overwhelming.  As if it was laughing against their efforts.  The more they fought the more the more fire grew   As if it was alive and/or something/someOne was behind it.

In his NDE the fireman saw himself in a court room.  There was an angel and demon.  The demon is claiming his legal rights with the fire because the city has sinned mocked God, has become amoral.  It was not merely physical fire but spiritual fire.

Men has astrayed from God, have not going to church  have alienated God, replaced faith with materialism and sin.

In many areas of CA, where the fire hits most, this condition exist, and areas where faith and love of God continues, there is light and no fires.

Are these stories true and must we change and repent

Cause of apocalyptic LA fires was climate change?

It is more fun criticizing

Some of the top officials of California blamed climate change for the devastating series of fires that flattened many residential areas in Los Angeles.   Climate change?  Why blame this rather than being responsible?

We know that there isi climate change but why were not changes made to mitigate the climate chnage?

The Sta Ana winds for example.   Undoubtedly many residents marvelled at how fast the fires exploded, spread and raged.  Many called the phenomenon firenado.. But surely measures, improvements in infrastructures could have been undertaken to lessen the damage by the Sta Ana winds.  These events happen all the time in LA, and am sure we are all intelligent and resourceful enough to mitigage,  Some of these:

1.  Beefing up of the Fire Department.     Instead of doing this the City shaved of $17 million  from the budgets.   Scores of fire fighting apparatus were not running.   The City donated firefighting equipment to Ukrained.

2.   Installation of firebreaks and cleaning the forests.  DT mentioned this to the governor during his first term to have forest floors cleaned of dry leaves and branches.  These served as tinder for the fire

3.  Having more water in reservoir and making sure this water reachd the fire hydrants.    The news have it that 4 dams were removed to give way to ecological concerns for the natives.    Was much done to have the fire hy drants works as they should in emergencies like this.   Or having more plane scoops fighting the flames.

In countries where they encounter regularly disasters, their govts prepare for this.  As in Philippines after Typhoon Yolanda killed many residents, the govt prepared and disaster coordinating councils to be prepared for calamities.   Philippines which is flood prone had billions allocated for flood control (Although now citizens are looking for them)

What caused the fire ?-   Probably arsonists and homeless people (to whom bulkk of billions of govt were oing into rather than protecting the citizens)  Or sparks from high power lines.  Thus there were proposals to have underground power lines.  But either these measures were vetoed or lingered in desks of council.   (Arsons as probable cause is most likely as the 5 fires were far away from each other)

What caused these to spread fast ?-   The tinder fuel on the floors of the forest.   Trump asked leaders of California to clean forest floors of dry leaves and branches as they do in Europe.   Or putting up fire breaks.   It is most likely that they were no done as budgets for them were removed

What caused the fire to raze wide areas uncontrollably/   Lack of water.     A large Sta Inez reservoir was left unfilled with water  Or perhaps a pumping station was needed to drive up water to hydrants of Pacific Palisade.   More fire trucks more fighting personnel.  But there were other issues and these need for resources were not adequately addressed

Check your freezer and other electrical appliances; the defective capacitors may start fires!!!

Hotpoint issued a Product Notice on their website after police linked one of their products to the fireĀ

A general view of what remains of the 24-storey north KensingtonĀ apartment block on Sunday

Grenfell blaze gallery

From Telegraph UK

The Grenfell tower fire which claimed more than 78 lives was attributed to to a faulty freezer fridge be the main cause  of the fire.  Its brand is Hotpoint, part of the Whirlpool group.   This is not the first time that appliance from said group to be the cause of fire.  One fire in 2016 which gutted an 18 story block was attributed to one of the dryers it made.

Those who own such fridge freezer made between 2006 to 2009 Model FF175BP  may have their fridge inspected (and could be subject of a huge recall) for safety purposes

The cause of the fault are the faulty capacitors (those that store electrical charge for the motor start)

A significant number of fires which start in fridges and freezers start in components called capacitors. When capacitors are used in fridges and freezers it should be done in a way that prevents them starting fires, even if they do fail."

Death toll in London apartment building inferno

From ABC news; 58 missing presumed to be dead in London Fire

We are engaged in construction and development, but have not attempted high rise development. The highest we have built is only 4 floors.  We recognize the risk of high rise:

1.  The earthquakes;

2.  Fires.  The fire departments are ill equipped to handle high rise building fires.  They have not built stairs and rescue equipment and fire fighting equipment to handle high rise buildings.  Hence this terrible loss of lives and property at Grenfell Tower in  London where 58 people are missing and presumed to be dead. Some of them included Filipino expatriates. (relative of Sen Villanueva?)

Lone gunman at RWM killing identified; Jessie Carlos, acted on his own due to personal reasons, not an ISIS attack

June 4, 2017

The lone gunman who caused the death of 37 people (38 him included) was identified today by NCRPO press conference  led by Gen Albayalde (it just ended as of this hour) as Jessie Carlos.  His parents were there and they asked forgiveness for him causing the death of the loved ones in the incident.  The mother claimed he had no bisyo (what is being hooked to gambling)

What do they know about him:

1.  Former employee of DOF; but fired for misdeclaration of  SALN

2.  Some of his investments turned sour; and he was hooked to gambling

3. He had many problems probably because he had gambling debts;  He even sold his property in Batangas to cover up some of his debts.

4.  His next of kin requested PAGCOR to ban him from casinos;  This probably angered him. causing him to take a revenge.

5.  He lives in Felix Huertas and there were CCTV footage that showed him where he hailed taxis (but they did not stop)

He was known to be a casino high roller (betting is lowest P40,000)

How was he identified:

1.  From the taxi driver who told him where he was picked up

2. The police inquired   and  did some sleuthing and called up the relatives and they confirmed

Putting out fires difficult in densely populated urban settlements

Social and political criticisms

Was this fire in Makati or Pasig City?

Rizal, Philippines.  January 18, 2013.   As we drove in Pasig City today, I was informed that there was a massive fire that rendered some 500 families homeless.  Fire started about 5 pm and fire was out at 11 pm.  It caused massive traffic jams.  Another fire was reported in Makati too

Why so many homes were lost despite the immediate and massive response of firefighters?  The poor planning -- narrow streets and lack of water lines make it difficult for firetrucks to enter and effectively put out fires.

Unless these settlements become firetrucks ready and friendly, we will be resigned to the usual fate -  they will be totally consumed by fire and thousands rendered homeless.

Blame the government?
