After touring a shoppers paradise my conclusion is that our country PHL is better than the supposed paradise.

Why?

1.  It is cheaper here.   The hotels, the fare, the grocery items, the food in resto prices are 2 to 3x more expensivve in the PHL.  The wages are hight but so are the living expenses.

2.  There are not much to see.  The tall buildinga dn the malls. We have them at MoA and BGC and even in the provinces.  They are no longer unique.

3.  We have kinder more cheerful, staff at hotels and resto.  It is not so over there.

This is a growing problem in the world - not only was this observed in the Philippines; its not fun to have goals to emigrate?!

What is happening to the dream big by going abroad?   The YT is not replete with videos of homelessness in California, Florida, Washington, UK

There are homeless people, unsheltered.  In the Philippines, we are luckier, there are shelters over the heads of people.  The unsheltered abroad lives in tents:

This was exacerbated by the influx of refugees, asylum seekers

Will some poor countries or say ASEAN host the Olympics?

A timely post because of 2024 Paris Olympics

The promised benefits do not come as promised as:  increased tourism,  income from the sponsorships.  

Hosting the Olympics are so expensive with infrastructure running up to billions.  The stadiums and venues built become white elephants.  

The IOC demands so much from the host cities that costs go up.   LA hosted the Olympics on the condition that it would not ante up.  

Will ASEAN countries PHL some day have the courage to host Olympics?

How could some businessmen be so profit conscious, denying sugar and onions to our kababayan at fair price

How could onions be so expensive in a place where onions abound?    How could sugar be so expensive

in a country that was a net sugar exporter before?   Where sugar cane grow like weeds in Panay Negros Island in Batangas, Tarlac and  Pampanga

How come Kadiwa can sell onions at P160.00.  They come direct from Nueva Ecija

This does not give nor endear businessmen to countrymen and God.
