DILG through Sec. Junvic Remulla has offered P50m bounty for anyone who can provide information for the arrest of Sen.  Bato de la Rosa.  There is confirmed ICC warrant for his arrest.   However, the latters camp says that there is a need for a warrant for a local court for him to be arrested..

This is a huge bounty and anyone would turn in the said "fugitive" senator.  It is like winning a lotto.

The European nations are facing challenges to their stability due to recent spate of protests, many of them violent:   in France Italy.   Due to lax border and liberal immigration policy    Now there is destruction and protests many of them violent.    Its either they tolerate these and allow chaos to prevail or resist in likewise violent manner  and or deport the immigrants.

There seems to be some trouble in France.   Protesters allegedly numbering half million protested :  fought police, looted stores, torched some buildings and destroyed properties. They were alleged student protests on old school buildings, lack of facilities, lack of teachers.    But the pictures told otherwise...  Scores of policemen were injured;    many were arrested...

Lets pray for France.  We are much better here in the PHL?

Presiding Judge Escudero, gave a lengthy ruling given the limited time on allowing the Prosecution to withdraw 3 of 4 Articles of Impeachment  and to focus on Artile 2 - unexplained wealth.   It was observed that the entire defense team was unable to effectively squirm our of the numbers presented by the "forensic expert"   Numberd dont tell a lie.

However such withdrawal is subject o comments and opinion:

1.  If it was strategy and pre determined it could be termed as brilliant;

2.  However, it could be viewed as unjust:

     1.  The defense lost its day to refute the evidences for the other 3;

     2.  The evidence presented for the 3 other articles remain with the court

     3.  The familiar refrain from from the Cayetanos -  "What has been shown and discussed cant be unheard or unseen.

The other commentators remarked that the court must be expunged of the evidences of the 3 other articles by either the Prosecution or the judge senators.   However the greater challenge is as according to former Supreme Court Justice, is the possibility of declaration of mistrial...

Incredible spending by China on things that matter. Did we do this with our trillions? Or something bad happened.

The prosecution seem too sure of its case and would rather drop 3 of the 4 articles of impeachment and impeachment of VPSD is now becoming clearer?    The defense could only resort to theatrics and could not  rebut the numbers presented by the forensic witness.  With the threshold vote lowered, there is nothing much the defense could do but expect the prosecution success?

The Phl head of monetary policy is under criticism from the masses who were irked that some of the solution of  Phil. monetary woes were due to poor savings habit and tendency to buy luxury goods.  This did not sit well with most wage earners who could barely make both ends meet let alone, save.... He could be made to explain why he caved in to pressure to sell Phl gold reserve.  It should be stable haven amidst the worsening worldwide economic woes...

What is your opinion of his comments?   On poor savings rate; on luxury goods purchase?

This came as Remolona is the highest paid govt employee, with his salaries doubling in the last four years.

You were robbed of your wealth!.    While you earned measly 1/2% on your savings, your money lost 7.05 of its value.   Thats a lot!.   P70.50 for a P1000.00 savings,  P70,500 for a 1 million deposit.    And you cant do anything about this.

The PHL President once more attended FI race;    he did so in 2022, and 2023, the first two yearsof his term.  He is being criticized as being inappropiate as many of the citizens suffer from a host of problems.   The former said it is working visit and he will meet business leaders and execs.  

What do you think of  this  indulgence by the PHl Prez?   Do you think he should relax once in a while?  Is this attendance inappropiate as critics say?

The top guy when interviewed on the difficutlies to be brought by El Nino recommends buying bucket to gather rainfall as preparation for El Nino.  This sounds simpleton and un Chief guidance to deal with such problem.  With 7 trillion budget, will the govt shoulder the cost of the bucket.
