Supertyphoon Yolanda (international name Haiyan) hits the central PHL cutting paths of destruction along its 1,700 width, with maximum winds to be 315 kmh, and gustiness of 385 kmh.  It moved fast though at 41 kmh and is expected to be out of PHL PAR today.  The super typhoon  cut power and communication lines.  Only 4 were reported dead, and travel was cancelled, with 200 flights from NAIA cancelled.  Sea travel was prohibited since Wednesday.

The Super typhoon hit the area that just experienced a 7.2 Magnitude earthquake last month.  It is the third major calamity to hit the PHL within the year.  Last December, typhoon Pablo, another super typhoon hit Mindanao killing nearly 2, 000.

Is this more fun or calamity in the PHL?  More tourists can come with aid for the typhoon victims.  Welcome to the PHL

As I post this, trees around our house are taking beating from the typhoons fury.
