What is the new whistle blower doing re the PDAF testimony?
It is more fun criticizing
Ruby Tuason testimony weak from GMA News
Ruby Tuason, the social sec implicated for the PDAF scandal being pointed by another whistle blower as having received more than half billion in commission has nothing conclusive, no material evidence to link the good senators to the scandal. "Nagkita po kami sa restaurant" Nothing in her action or testimony links/lead the senator to the crime. At the end of the day, she and Janet will go to jail.
Sorry for you D o J.

How can this happen in the land of the free.
I thought that no one can go into servitude or be jailed for debts. But that is happening in US now.
How? Why?

Passenger testifies Florida bus lost brakes

Bus flew off the cliff after it lost brake
Were the authorities hasty in suspending Florida bus after the tragic Bontoc accident
It is more fun criticizing
Rizal Philippines | February 12, 2014
LFTRB suspended the operations of Florida Bus which figured in a tragic accident that killed people after it fell off a deep ravine. The driver claimed that lost brakes (from GMA news) . Since it has many units serving Region 2, the move may have inconvenienced many travelers from the North (or has favored its competitors?) < It has inconvenienced many now since there Florida has 238units. > If it was going downhill, and the driver cooked the brakes, then the loss of control would have been really beyond the control of the driver, and thus really was an accident.
The suspension was served to GV Florida after it was found to have multiple violations of the its documents/legalities. The unit that wwas involved in the accident was registered with Mt. Province Cable tours, and its chassis number was tampered with.
On the other hand, Florida bus is known to be a fast bus, and is not unlike Philippine rabbit drivers. I rode Florida bus once after coming from Solano, and I promised myself, if I wanted to live longer, I would not ride the bus again. This is a warning for authorities to be mindful of the over speeding of passenger bus that leads to small margin of errors, mechanical failures that lead to fatal accident

City Renewal Projects
It is more fun criticizing
Rizal Philippines | February 11, 2014
Happy Feast of the Lourdes!
Now that there are:
1. Revelation on PDAF scams
2 There are enlightened leadership at LGU levels
3. Renewed interest to develop cities
It is time to consider urban renewal and redevelopment. This will:
1. Generate jobs;
2. When the cities are beautiful and more liveable, more investments and more trade comes in generating more revenue for the LGU
3. Banks I think would be more than willing to lend funds (rather than merely take in funds)
4. Construction companies and suppliers would be happy to help, with the business that would be generated.
Who could initiate:
1. The business groups could recommend to the city planner who in turn would commission master plan for redevelopment: by phases.
2. The council could pass resolution to authorize approve the : rezoning, redevelopment, new standards, design themes. etc. traffic rules, ROW, planting strips,
3. Revise RET: tax heavily the old structures, tax lightly structures that are less than 10 years old
4. Relax the rent control law. (Or strictly enforce this so that the lessors would tear down old structures so that they could collect more rent when the building is rebuilt)
Who would help:
1. Banks (would want to generate revenues from idle funds)
2. Local businessmen who want more business
3. Tourist oriented business.
We cant continue to get tourists with fiestas and street dancing, and with shallow strategy. We will ultimately need better infrastructures and systems. We have to remove the broken windows (uncollected garbage, smelly sewers, rats on the streets, street people, ugly stalls, dangling utility wires)
It is your city, our city, Our country.
OUR COUNTRY OUR CITY IS OUR BUSINESS.
The electric wires, the vendors shacks, the pockmarked streets
Old buildings and ugly electric wires
Graffitti, the broken window symptom
Garbage, graffitti (Read broken windows by George Kelling and Catherine Coles
Burned down building, garbage, plenty of signages
Good for micro entrepreneurs; cant we have order, repainting
Telcos conspire with big ads to deface the city
Lunar landscape has no place in a beautiful city
Hmmm what is wrong here?
Abandoned and dilapidated Queen City Garden Mall <where is the garden?>
What makes the place ugly?
What can be done?
What is ugly here? What do you suggest?
WTDN?
What is the broken window here? There are several - tell us
Anything ugly here?
What?
OK ba?
Maganda ba?
A sight to behold?
Nice mall, ugly skyline
Can the poor people help make the city look nice and beautiful?
This sight would have been perfect, except for?
What is ugly here?

From Tempo - Pansit and foodstuff, not money
A senator being charged before the Ombudsman and being linked to receiving money from her, from Janet Lim Napoles denied ever having received any money. What was delivered at the Senate basement was foodstuff like pansit and empanadas, and not money (from Tempo)
The newspaper headline screamed yesterday this allegation from the good senator.
"Pansit, not money"
Are we still on the silver screen, showbiz, are we joking here?

Is US being turned into a country of dependents?
It is more fun criticizing
Is President Obama converting USA into a socialist nightmare? Is he turning Americans into a nation of dependents? Has this ruined America from a superpower into a country of wimps?
The Americans we know before were admireable: they were gutsy, hard working, pioneering, and resourceful. They did not depend on alms and grants. They helped countries who were struggling.
They were unlike the 40 million or so Americans who depend on foodstamps, who would rather live off on alms rather than breaking their bones to work. Why?
Because the leadership encourages them to be so!!

Rice smuggling and rice importation is here to stay
It is more fun criticizing
Do not quote me on this. But I was told that importing rice (the legal way, via NFA) is big money for those who give the permit. Smuggling is when you import rice without passing through the NFA. I was told that it cost millions to get permit to import.
Thus the agencies involved in rice would always say there is shortage to resort to importation (we really do not know if there is a shortage, if there is is it a scenario build up so that some people would earn more?)
They would even engage the rice farmers to denounce smuggling so as to check the smugglers (those who do not pass through the proper channels to pay the correct tong.) You know...

UN has accused Vatican of policy that allowed systematic abuse of children
It is more fun criticizing
From BBC news | February 5, 2014
From the Telegraph - UN demands that priests who abuse children be removed and turned over to the police | February 5, 2014
The United Nations has accused the Roman Catholic Church of adopting policies that allowed priest to systematically abuse thousands of children (both boys and girls.) While the hierarchy of Roman Catholic church as promised to address this problem, many think that the Church response has been inadequate, hence the criticism.
The priest abuse of children were rarely reported prior to 1970; more frequent reports were made since the 80s.
In 2013, the Vatican allowed a group to be questioned by UN, but did not provide data later re the abuses.
Isnt the church a hypocrite over the vows of chastity. We know about most priests having lovers (men and women) but abusing children, as pedophiles is too much.
Can Pope Francis lessen this church black eye.? His predecessor, Pope Benedict was accused of cover up of a priest accused of child abuse.
Is this happening in the Philippines
