Analysis:

1.  How did we get into this?   The leader should know the head leads the tails.

2.  The cousin was involved and was tolerated And there are indications that a very close relative is also involved. 

3.  It all started with the UA, amounting to more than P500 billion, that were taken out from other GOCCs:   Philhealth that went into UA and the insertions.    It came from the GA that was signed by the President

4.   The good department did the MO  (looked for contractors licenses did the ghost substandard projects) and the manipulation and even the connotational body supposed to do the oversight, apparently blinded the % did not see the ghost projects, substandard etc.  Probably may parte sa %.    It was a massive systemic graft and corruption

"First Yaya" - a TV series a pleasant escape from harsh reality

It would seem corny for an elderly to watch a TV series but at 8:00 o clock with 3 channels showing the same show, you have no choice.

However I got glued to this series because it is a pleasant escape from reality.  The show, a fantasy series depicts the life and relationship of a youngish president (forced by the death of the Pres to become a President.  Not much is depicted regarding how he deals with the country.   This is in contrast to the current reality where the President is old, cantakerous etc.

The dialogues and scenes may seem trite but this merely heightens the intrigue and drama of the series.  

Maybe the large following of the show shows our current aspiration to have a young President who is less embroiled in politics.  It shows that the nation is very much concerned with the current presidency.  How we wish he would lead our country out of our problems, and get rid of the undesireables.   And be less concerned with vested interest and go for a sincere and honest administration, as the handsome and clear countenance of the show President show.  

Maybe in a year's time the actor for the series will be  Presidential timber?   That's how politics work, and GC maybe today is wooing as a character to win the hearts and minds of our troubled nation

The trending tirade vs MVP and Ayala, two of biggest tycoons, billionaire in the country, highlights the monopoly and control of the tycoons on the economy.   Both virtually have control over the telco regulator, and may be even the energy regulator.

We may not be privy to the goings on between and among regulatory bodies and Meralco and others involved in power sector.  But reports have it that the main reason why the Lopezes sold Meralco was its difficulty in getting rate increases under GMA.  (GMA Govt planning to take over Meralco?

Govt sat on the request of Meralco for rate increase for 8 long yerars

The Lopezes sold out to the MVP group who eventually had 53% control of the company.  And lo and behold under MVP Meralco became very profitable because it got a provisional increase under the new administration.   Meralco was soon presided by a veteran former CEO of energy company and engaged in a lot of innovation (founding a collection company, internet via power lines)  prepaid electricity and many many more like outsourcing of linemans activity through its retired employees..

Ilang mga konklusyon ang ating magagawa sa pagpapalit ng Speaker ng Kongreso mula sa kamay ni Kong Pantaleon Alvarez sa dating Pangulo at Pampanga Representante ng Pampanga GMA

1.  Do not wound the  Queen.  
     Natatandaan ba ninyo na inalis ni Alvarez bilang isang  lider sa Kongreso dahil hindi sinuportahan ni GMA ang death penalty..  Pagong walang ganti. Eto ganti

2.   Political dynasty.

    Palagi na ang nasa kapangyarihan ay hahawakan nila iyon at all cost.

    1. Sa side ng Pamilya ng Pangulo, na ang balita ay ang anak niyang Mayor ay may kinalaman sa pagpapa
        aalis sa kay Alvarez bilang Speaker ay ibig sabihin na ang bansa ay kayang paikutin ng isang pamilya:
        Ama at anak at iba pang kamag anak.  Mabuti na check maaga isa pang anak na balitang may puwersa
        sa isang ahensya ng gobyerno

   3. Sino ba talaga susuportahan ng administration si Bong2 o si GMA?   Kangino malaki political

     Between Pantaleon Alvarez, isa sa mga cabal ni DU30 noong kampanya at si Sarah, kangino siya papanig?

3.  There are no permanent friends in politics, only changing alliances and self interest

     Hindi mo alam ang kaaway kaibigan mo.  Kaya kaluoy si Alvarez... Kampanteng2 siya na nasa puwersa
pa siya.  Hindi niya alam ni banig wala na siyang tutuntungan.   Kailangang magbasa pa nang The Prince, if  this post may suggest.   Hindi rin OK na may kaaway ka kagaya  ni Alvarez vs Floreindo.

In a landmark ruling yesterday, 11 SC justices voted for the dismissal of plunder case vs her and ordered her set free. He has been incarcerated at the Veterans Memorial Medical Center for plunder for 4 years. Her supporters and her lawyers, especially Atty Estelito Mendoza were ecstatic with the ruling and said the SC really is the bastion of justice.

Why the decision?

1.  Was GMA jailed under the regime of Aquino for the wrong reasons?  Was Corona impeached for the wrong reason also?

2.  Was DAP really used by Aquino to bribe solons to impeach Corona?

3. Was the ruling made so as not to embarrass the SC since anyway, there were announcements that Pres Digong was set to pardon GMA?

Brazil congress in an unprecedented move, voted to oust President Dilma Rouseff who leads the left leaning Workers Party. The vote was 367 in favor and 137 against She used to be an activist and has led many of the workers out of poverty through her social programs.  However this has led her country into recession and economic difficulties.  Her reign is tainted with corruption especially with state owned oil giant Petrobas

After the Senate proceedings, VP Michel Termer  78 would be the temporary President.   And if found guilty, Termer would serve out the term of Rouseff until 2018.

4 out of 8 Pres of Brazil failed to complete their term.

Some say that the man leading Congress, Eduardo Cunha would be the next  one to be impeached.  He is accused of corruption; many of those who voted are accused of corruption as well.

Brazil is the world"s 9th largest economy and with a population of 200 million.  Her presidency has caused deep division in Brazil which is host to Olympics this year.

The impeachment moves to Senate who needs only a majority vote to have Rouseff impeached.

Will the top court support Sen Grace Poe;s bid for presidency

From Philstar - SC to vote separately on residency and citizenship issues

This post happened to discuss after business matters were taken up, about the Presidential election.  This post hastened to say that Binay could be the next president (which favors him because he supports the said candidate, and they have good relationship as a businessman in Makati) and that Bongbong who has remarkably improved his leadership, speech, behavior, knowledge would be most likely to be the next vice president.  (He was in our town this afternoon and many admired the young Marcos for his speech and presentation of platform of govt.)

Our conversation diverted to Sen Grace Poe's disqualification case, and he happened to attend the oral arguments at the SC, the first time he ever was in the August Hall.  He remembered  clearly two things:

1. That in the oath of allegiance taken by the good Senator, (which is prescribed by law to re attain the Filipino citizenship under the dual citizenship law) the good Senator mentioned that she was ...born to. (.......?) where as a matter of fact, her current story is that she is a foundling!!!.  There is perjury or outright lie being committed here and totally unacceptable for someone who is going to be a president.  We hear of story as to who her real parents are and where she was really born

2.   That the defense of ....she did not know, can not be held as an excuse, Ignorance of the law excuses no one especially for some one whose main duty is to defend and preserve the law of the land as the chief executive.

He wonders why this is not mentioned in the press, when there was huge contingent of the press at the said hearing..Maybe that was meant not to disgrace Grace.  He noted that the justices have manok.  The one who questioned the oath of allegiance was against the Senator.  Some justices have GP as their Manok.

On this basis, the good Senator can be disqualified.  "Sorry was a very strong case against GMA" in the Hello Garci election scandal.

In the words of many, there is a great novela unfolding here, like the return of the Marcoses at the Palace. So many intrigues, eg that administration is really supporting GP instead of MR in view of the last place of the good Secretary in the surveys. What happens if the the DNA test of FM and GP turns out to be positive.  Ang saya ng Pilipinas....!!  Maybe the justices will decide that it is not fun anymore.

So what happens to the strong wave of support for her.  If she is DQd finally what happens to votes in her favor.  If she does not speak, the vote goes to Mar. If she endorses these  to Binay (which she wont because she signed a recommendation to file case vs Binay after the Senate hearing) then Binay would win.

LFTRB suspended the operations of Florida Bus which figured in a tragic accident that killed people after it fell off a deep ravine.  The driver claimed that lost brakes (from GMA news) .  Since it has many units serving Region 2, the move may have inconvenienced many travelers from the North (or has favored its competitors?) < It has inconvenienced many now since there Florida has 238units.  >  If it was going downhill, and the driver cooked the brakes, then the loss of control would have been really beyond the control of the driver, and thus really was an accident.

The suspension was served to GV Florida after it was found to have  multiple violations of the its documents/legalities.  The unit  that wwas involved in the accident was registered with Mt. Province Cable tours, and its chassis number was tampered with.

On the other hand, Florida bus is known to be a fast bus, and is not unlike Philippine rabbit drivers. I rode Florida bus once after coming from Solano, and I promised myself, if I wanted to live longer, I would not ride the bus again.  This is a warning for authorities to be mindful of the over speeding of passenger bus that leads to small margin of errors, mechanical failures that lead to fatal accident

Motion to Recall WoA for GMA

I have read the motion of GMAs lawyer to recall the warrant of arrest issued vs her. I think there are several good points there.

l.  There was undue haste in issuing the warrant.   The l000 pages  folders could not be read in less than a day.

2.  As usual, there were arguments saying that there are no documentary evidences pointing to her as the mastermind, except hearsay evidences.

But then again, we are not the judge, nor do I have the tyranny of numbers.

This blog is blessed that it is not being read;  or sparsely read.  I can write without fear or favor.  Only with fervor.

There is so much uproar over the undue attention given to fmr President who was transferred from SLMC to VLMC.

For one, it is the job of media to hype an event so that the story will sell copies; it is their job;

It is but natural for anyone who goes to jail or is detained to be treated fairly and better than others especially if they are better of in life.  It is a fact of life.  GMA can demand that as a citizen (it is one of the rights of the accused) and as former President, a lot of officials owe their current positions.  We are a grateful people right.

And everywhere, we know money talks.  Even in jails
