Brazil congress in an unprecedented move, voted to oust President Dilma Rouseff who leads the left leaning Workers Party. The vote was 367 in favor and 137 against She used to be an activist and has led many of the workers out of poverty through her social programs.  However this has led her country into recession and economic difficulties.  Her reign is tainted with corruption especially with state owned oil giant Petrobas

After the Senate proceedings, VP Michel Termer  78 would be the temporary President.   And if found guilty, Termer would serve out the term of Rouseff until 2018.

4 out of 8 Pres of Brazil failed to complete their term.

Some say that the man leading Congress, Eduardo Cunha would be the next  one to be impeached.  He is accused of corruption; many of those who voted are accused of corruption as well.

Brazil is the world"s 9th largest economy and with a population of 200 million.  Her presidency has caused deep division in Brazil which is host to Olympics this year.

The impeachment moves to Senate who needs only a majority vote to have Rouseff impeached.

Some comments:

1.  Impeachment destabilizes the govt in a way.  If there is a flagging popularity with the President, then impeachment is the alternative;

2.  Many ladies are observed, while there are many good lady leaders to be incapable of stable leadership as in the case of Pres. Dilma.  Pres Cory of the Philippines had to endure several coup attempts  because of observed weakness.

3.  GMA too had a tainted Presidency

I observed wives of powerful men who had their ladies for their undoing.  Ladies can inspire their partners to be better if they just stay in the background or could break their reign when they interfere.
