Why do so many retail stores close shop in Calfornia - because shoplifting below $950 is just considered a misdemeanor, no a felony

It is more fun criticizing

There has been a rash of closure of retail stores in California, especially in San Francisco because of new California laws that classify stealing below $950.00 as a misdemeanor rather than a felony.  Many say that it is an invitation for shoplifting.   Store owners and managers, employees will not interfere with shoplifting  Police will not bother and so with prosecutors.  The said $950.00 is also the upper limit for embezzlement in offices.

Pity the retailers and and businesses.   Its the death of goose that lays the golden eggs in USA, that keep the American dream alive.

It is wished that the USA laws would be smart and in keeping with the laws of God
