A kind and soulful discourse of gratitude to the Filipinos, (or at least to the late President) for their compassion and humanitarian concern during Hitlers atrocities to the Jews.

This one makes us proud of Filipinos.   (despite the hardships and criticism from mostly Westerners)

We dont live in trees, we are not OBOB.   Good people do good things

Late Pres. Manuel L Quezon, US High Commissioner, Paul McNutt, Dwight Eisenhower.   All played key role.

While present generation are anti Jews, Filipinos then helped Jews be saved from German Nazis during the holocaust.   

(May be this is the reason why I met Jews who were helping Samar rebuild after the Yolanda super typhoon)

Pres. Quezon helped saved 1,300 Jews from 1937-41; why did other countries did not?

Pres. Manuel Quezon, said its the right thing to do.  

He helped saved 1,300 Jews.  We were not just watching things happen.  We played a great role

in World History.

We may lag behind other countries in economic prowess, in sports, modernity but not in magnamity

On June 25, 1950, 135,000 Chinese and Nokor captured Seoul, Philippines was one of the first countries to help defend South Korea

7,000 men were sent, as the Philippines was one of the first countries to answer calls to assist South Korea from invading Chinese and North Korean Forces

It was through the leadership of late Pres. Elpidio Aquino.

Before, Filipinos helped Russian Jews in Samar .   In the 70s, Filipinos also played host to some 80,000 Vietnamese refugees in Bataan and Palawan.  

Quite a hospitable and generous country to brethren in need   

We do not deserve racism discriminations and now this bullying by a giant neighboring countries

Let us not discount the heroism, the bravery, and the camaraderie of Filipinos towards their fellowmen.

Some countries may be making a big mistake in bullying this country

Even the sons of the President went to war.!

 

In order to be even with terrorist we have to even up understanding of combatants

Who are the combatants?  Civilians are excluded?

At the 9/11 WTC attack by terrorist, it was clear that the conflict was not between terrorist and military combatants.  The West, true to its humanitarian orientation, and rules of engagement distinguishes between the military combatants and civilians.  We cant harm and hurt civilians;  but combatants are fair game in war/encounters.

Its the terrorists vs the West.  Period.... no distinction between civilians and military. So there goes suicide bombers, plane bombs etc.   Civilians are fair target as any military targets are good target.  To hell with war crimes (has any terrorist charged with war crimes)

Try to analyze the terror attacks at Mumbai, at Eastgate Mall in Kenya.  and you will see how the terrorists indiscriminately fire at civilians.  

What is Hamas - a humanitarian or terrorist organization?

I saw in a TV news channel where a Qatar citizen was being interviewed and she said Hamas is a humanitarian organization.  It is a little bit confusing now since Palestine has a government, Hamas and PLO.    The commentators are reacting to that statement

They are also commenting that some news (they may be Jews) regarding the slant on some news that are in favor of Hamas.  And they say, "Is it a humanitarian organization that rains rockets on innocent women and children of Israel"

Conversely the same can be asked of Israel who claims they are on defense mode, that this morning attack of a UN school was due to fire power coming near the direction of the school.

Who is telling the truth.
