Democrat Polis' Solution: Legalize Immigrants to Fix Obamacare

It does not seem to be a sound solution;  may be full of sound.  I used to have great admiration  for Dems and Americans.  Today, I doubt whether they still have that admiration. Take a look at the idea of Rep. Jared Polis, a Democrat on immigration law and Obamacare and their relevance to one another.

Polis wants to legalize illegals so that can be covered by Healthcare, so that the burden is not passed to taxpaying, with health insurance US citizens

One of the biggest problem of USA is burgeoning debt and federal expenses which does not seem to have any end in sight.  And now Polis wants to ad some more weight to sink their government?

"The Times cited a Congressional Budget Office report showing the Senate immigration bill, offering legalization for current illegals and expanding legal immigration, could cost $82.3 billion in the next decade, increasing Obamacare subsidies for new legal immigrants.

Those who are in the country illegally would not be able to enter the Obamacare system for a decade after they obtain green cards under current law."

Here is a another feed from Personal Liberty.  Personal Liberty site is concerned about growing trampling of personal liberty in the US.  The NSA, the Homeland Security proclivity to spy on US citizens, and even its allies have been growing. Malaysia joins the list of complaints vs alleged US alleged spying.  But it is even more dangerous and worrisome for US citizens.

The biggest concern of US citizens are the Cypriot like type of seizure of personal assets specifically bank deposits so that US Federal Govt debt can be paid.

But the big news is that despite Pres Obamas declaration that former insurance would be honored, the truth is that some 4 million would lose coverage.  That would be disastrous for the administration, not to mention the botched website by CGI Federal.

 


The other important concern is that93 million Americans would lose coverage under Obamacare! This is a plenty.  Many critics think that is the turning point for the administration.

US Senate passes bill on the 11th hour (Wednesday) to avert financial crisis

The US Senate, largely dominate by Democrats, passed a bill with a vote of 81-18 to avert the budget and debt limit impasse at the 11th hour.  (Wednesday evening) Failure to act on the issue would have meant credit downgrade by rating agencies, and debt default  The deal was hammered by Senators MacDonnel  and Reid.  The deal would finance the govt through Jan l5, and raise the debt limit till February 7.

The Congress, largely controlled by GOP conservatives, did not object.  The Obamacare defunding is not included in the deal. It was seen as a defeat for the conservative  Republicans

There was a lady who said that there would be no default,  since the US Fed can print money and there is unlimited amount of funds the Fed can print. The lady forgot to think that the US Fed Central Bank is independent of the rest of US govt.  And precisely there is the debt limit law to prevent the US treasury from dipping its hand into the body that deals with the currency. Even with such separation, the debt limit  was breached several times during Obama administration.
