Matinding baha sa QC - bakit kaya? Matataas na mga lugar ito?

It is more fun criticizing

Sen Imee Marcos criticizes Pag asa for lack of warning on onset of typhoon

It is more fun criticizing

Senator Imee Marcos has called out Pag Asa (our weather forecaster) for lack of early or total information on typhoon onset.   Pag asa officials have accepted the call out as constructive criticism and promised improvements.

However as an observer, Pag asa has been consistent and meticulous in informing the public at large fromm the development of the LPA its distance, and expected  arrival into Philippines PAR.  Lately their briefing incluses:

    1.  Wind strength and direction
    2.  Gale
    3.  Rainfall
    4.  Storm surges

They are comprehensive warnings.

The fault may be in citizen and LGU lacks of response and obedience, or paying heed to the danger being faced by a locality.    What else can be improved at PAG ASA?

More complete information on Pag asa weather forecasts

It is more fun criticizing

As I watched the weather report/forecast on typhoon Leon, this post noticed more information:
      1.  Amount of rainfall,
      2.   Typhoo signal number
      3.   Wind speed
      4.   Gale
      5.   Surges

With theses information, the area to be hit can better prepare for the type of emergency to be encountered.  As the rainfall.... Flooding can be predicted, and evacuation can be anticipated

China'a gunboat diplomacy - Filipinos illegally occupying Pag asa Island

It is more fun criticizing

Image result for 3 Chinese warships visit Davao City port

Image result for Philippine residents illegally occupying pag asa island + CHINESE AMBASSADOR
                                       Squatters at Pag asa Island?

From Manila Standard - 3 China warship on goodwill visit

From Philstar - US think tank - Phil illegally occupying two islands in Spratly's

We are entering a new phase in diplomacy with Chinese, they employing the Dewey tactics in the 1800 the gunboat diplomacy. Right after the APEC summit where China was rumored to have the issue of intl arbitration ruling deleted, 3 China warships visited Sasa Port in Sasa.   I hope our leaders see through that move.  While seen as friendly, it is a reminder that China can send their warships and inflict heavy damage to the residence of the President.   It was friendly show of force.  and the timing could have been much better.

And with the ships was the Chinese ambassador to the Philippines declared that Filipinos at Pag asa island and the structures there are illegal.  What?  How come.   The residents there have been there (di ba common sense at common law yon?)  Bayan ba tayo ng squatters.  Pati tayo squatter sa ating sariling bansa.  Kailan kaya demolition, eviction notice

Nakakagalit.   But what can we do.  Do we have warships that can call on Beijing?

But China cant do anything about US 7th fleet patrol at South Philippine sea.  Can they beat Trump resolve to show the world who is the boss?
