Petty stuff takes too much media space and national attention

It is more fun criticizing

For several days now, the media and the public have feasted on the Cadillac Escalade that used the bus lane.   This is a simple traffic violation that the MMDA, PNP or LTO can handle.  And yet no less that the office of senator was inquired into.

OUr country men and media should focus on things that matter most.     Not this.   (As if the driver has committed a big crime)

Some news mean other people harm and embarrassment?

Are SUV drivers more aggressive - from University of Hawaii

"Sales of Sport Utility Vehicles in the United States topped 2.7 million in 1998, up from 961,000 in 1988 and 2.4 million in 1997. In a survey last year of 26,000 vehicle owners, 44 percent said they would consider buying an SUV - making it the No. 1 vehicle considered, says AutoPacific, Inc., an automotive marketing and product consulting firm. "We forecast that by the year 2000, sales will exceed 3 million," says Jim Hall, AutoPacific's vice president of industry analysis. But why? What is the draw of these road giants? To hear Georgia Tech psychologist Jack Feldman tell it, SUVs are roadway cousins to the trendy Timberland boots that scuff the polished floors of suburban malls.
"Most SUVs today will never see dirt, so you have lots of motives for their popularity - fashion, practicality, safety," says Feldman, a motorcyclist and driver of a 2,300-pound Mazda Miata. "An SUV is as practical as a minivan but does not make you look like a soccer mom. For a lot of people, that is a real incentive." It's large like a linebacker, an engine with shoulder pads and menace. "There's the mentality that a certain amount of power comes with size, perceived or real," says Ken Roberts, spokesman for the Automotive Service Association, a nonprofit group of 55,000 mechanics and body shop workers.
"In the SUV the driver is elevated, sits higher, and looking down on fellow motorists gives the greater impression of power. I am bigger than you ... so I am a little more powerful."

The reasons why people buy cars are neither technical nor logical.  They do so for emotional reasons as most of our buying reasons are.  So those who buy trucks large pick ups, vans and SUV (utes) do so to feel superior and invincible on the  road, and even more so to terrorize other vehicles/drivers. "  You cant hurt me, I can hurt you cause I am big and strong I can even hurt you"

I was told and its my observation too of an SUV owner that in terms of brand, those who drive the Besta Van and Fortunner are particularly rabid and obnoxious.  On one occasion I saw one Fortunner tried to scoot out of his lane and swerve into the path of oncoming traffic 3x.  The one who confronted me if I had  problem (he after making a U turn in the middle of a high speed highway, drove a Fortunner. They are prone too to SUA (SUDDEN UNEXPLAINED ANGER) Ha6

What happenned to the news that some churchmen received Montero bribes from gambling Lords?

Social and political criticisms

What happenned to the allegations that certain bishops received SUV from a govt gambling corporation?

Were the investigating solons struck awed by the churchmen?

I thought the churchmen are holier than the solons?  Or the other way around.

Therefore, if the church is corrupt, what do we expect from them?  Aren't they the conscience of society?

Same question asked in Fili and Noli... and this still persists.

Why do they have to associate with the high and mighty?  Does that make the churchmen good or can they continue being good?

What are the allegations that bishops, just like stars and solons demand appearance fees?  This could not be true.
