Several distinguished lawmakers from the south have been in ways and means committee in Congress.  These are powerful committees control on how government funds should be allocated in different parts of the countries. Many other congressmen and perhaps curry their favor.  One such solon hails from Quezon and two are from Bicol right now:   the surname of the ways and means, is the same as the middle name of the one in appropriations committee.  Together they are powerful tandem.

News/buzz had it also that the island province in far north were paved because the islands son became the DBM secretary.   

Now it appears as it appears now that one of 5 star resorts in the South is owned by this guy.  And so with Casinos being owned by some politicians.  Some people cant help it that when they are in power, they take advantage of their positions.

We can not prove the buzz and the maritess right and wrong.  Hmmmm but we all know.   

Solons from the same region have better things to say?

This post noticed that two solons from the same regions could have better things to say.

1.  One said  that traffic was caused by pokemon craze.  Neither logic nor reality could lend truth to that statement.  There are other causes  of traffic like  narrow roads, too many vehicles unruly drivers and much much more

2.  The other was questioning  the declaration of  State of Lawless Violence in the Philippines.  It could lead to martial law he said. But the order merely would like to make the rest of the Philippine population secure.

Since they were elected by their constituents, we presume that they have high level of intelligence and would have said something better.

What happenned to the news that some churchmen received Montero bribes from gambling Lords?

Social and political criticisms

What happenned to the allegations that certain bishops received SUV from a govt gambling corporation?

Were the investigating solons struck awed by the churchmen?  

I thought the churchmen are holier than the solons?  Or the other way around.

Therefore, if the church is corrupt, what do we expect from them?  Aren't they the conscience of society?

Same question asked in Fili and Noli... and this still persists.


Why do they have to associate with the high and mighty?  Does that make the churchmen good or can they continue being good?

What are the allegations that bishops, just like stars and solons demand appearance fees?  This could not be true.
