John 10:   27 -30

Jesus said:
“My sheep hear my voice;
I know them, and they follow me.
I give them eternal life, and they shall never perish.
No one can take them out of my hand.
My Father, who has given them to me, is greater than all,
and no one can take them out of the Father’s hand.
The Father and I are one.”

The Gospel was about the Good Shepherd.   The Good Shepherd, Jesus Christ takes care of the flock.  Jesus knows His flock and they obey Him

In relation to the Homily of the Holy Pope and in connection with Mothers Day, he emphasized that now that he is the Shepherd, great patience and sacrifice must be exercised to be a bridge to those who were separated from the church and their mother.  The bond must be based on love of Mother Mary, and be practiced not by being above others but by being with them.  As he saw in his missionary work in Peru.

Near death experience - that of person dying suddenly and then asked to return.  It usually tells of encounter with Supreme Being, the Lord, God and being encompassed in pure Lightness and Love.   The subject is shown Heaven and Hell and what God/Jesus wants to world to do.

Are they real?

For many of us, it is proof of Jesus, God, Heaven and Hell and that we should repent return to God and Jesus.  And message our brethren to do the same.

Do you believe?  Do you agree that we should believe in Jesus Christ and God?  

Why does US have 11 aircraft carriers? Why is China building more? But military experts say they are obsolete!

Are aircraft carriers obsolete?

Consider the positive side:

1.   Frighten and awe

2.   All latest technology are there;

3.  No need for bases

Negative:

1.  Its vulnerable to missile attack. from land, sea - submarine or frigates.    Even in WW 2, in battle of Midway, one pilot was responsible for sinking of two Japanese aircraft carrier

2.  It is very expensive to construct and maintain.   USD 13 billion to build,  and one billion USD a month.   A floating city,  a disaster waiting to happen.

Now what works:

1.  A fleet of drones, or a a carrier of drones

2.  Missiles:   ballistic or cruise

3.  Air defense.  Those who has the best air defense wins

4.  AI  (but shall we have a Terminator situation?

Not because the aircraft carrier won the war for US in the Battle of Midway, means that it can still work for 21st century.  

The best strategy of course is not to go to war.  Make love, peace, not war      

Can we Christians naively believe that our love and compassion towards Muslims will be repaid in the same manner?

Everytime there is a bombing or acts of terrorism by extremist, all we could is to condemn the killings and pray for the victims and the dead, and probably the perpetrators.  At the end of the day, we do no nothing. Perhaps, the perpetrators will be caught. That is police work, or probably that of the military and we hope the extremists will stop.  Several months later the cycle repeats and the extremists are it again with suicide bombings..  A woman at Brussels was interviewed and she said why is the city being attacked;  why are they being included; they have nothing to do with those who carried out the bombing.

1.  We can not naively believe that because their religion instructs them to do so.   Non believers, the infidels are all subject to jihad.  The Islam Q uran states

9:123 "O you who believe, fight those of the unbelievers near you and let them see how harsh you can be. Know that Allah is with the righteous." 

2.  The ISIS has declared war vs the Vatican, and of course the Christians:

ISIS has now declared war on the Vatican in their manifesto, which contains numerous details on their plans to invade Rome. In their manifesto they quote one of ISIS’ spokesman Shaykh Abū Muhammad al-’Adnānī ash-Shāmī as saying:

O soldiers of the Islam- ic State, be ready for the final campaign of the crusaders. Yes, by Allah’s will, it will be the final one. Thereafter, we will raid them by Allah’s per- mission and they will not raid us… And so we promise you (crusaders) by Allah’s permission that this campaign will be your final campaign. It will be broken and defeated, just as all your previous campaigns were broken and defeated, except that this time we will raid you thereafter, and you will never raid us. We will conquer your Rome, break your crosses, and enslave your women, by the permission of Allah, the Exalted. This is His prom- ise to us; He is glorified and He does not fail in His promise. If we do not reach that time, then our children and grandchildren will reach it, and they will sell your sons as slaves at the slave market

3.  Islam is a religion of intolerance:  of hate and paranoia vs non believers

    61 % of its verses addressed to non believers are very negative.
