Notes on P20.00/kg rice to be sold in Visayas

The govt is set to start distributing rice at P20.00/kg in the Visayas.  This post comments:

1.   It is to be financed by the LGU;  it is not an organic P20.00 rice;   It costs P33.00/kg and the P13.00 difference is to be funded by LGU.

2.  Why come out it with this during the election period.?  It is clearly politicking to time this move during a campaign period.   What is the stand of COMELEC?   It is to be noted that admin candidates are weak in Visayas and Mindanao, arising from other issues.

3.  Others say that the rice is Peg2 rice -  substandard and finely ground suitable for pets livestock and other animals.

May we be united by the still on going calamity for rescue, relief, and rebuilding the places that were flooded

Political bickering, in anticipation of 2025 elections has increased in intensity:   political rallies denouncing PBBM, snubbing of SONA, leaked pulvoron videos.   Back to tribalism and mudslinging.   Luzon vs. Mindanao?

It should not be for we are one nation on the way to unparalleled growth and progress.  We are target of envy of other nations that are not growing as much

But power struggle, politics is real.   Unfulfilled promises =  position, budget are causes of difficulties and challenges.  Plus new entrants in the political arena.

As Lincoln reminded us  "With charity  for all, with malice towards none...."

Let us focus on relief, rescue, and rebuilding
