A strong govt in the Philippines, a hindrance to ease of doing business, and rife for intrigues and power play

It is more fun criticizing

The previous govt of PRRD has created a very strong govt from Barangay to the police the legislature and the Judiciary that today, these are the obstacles to their political ambition  -  Congress wreacking havoc on OVP,   It has become unwieldy and Byzantine.

And its not good for ease  of doing business scores.  

Now our government is very strong

It is my observation, thanks to President Duterte's leadership, the govt is very strong I would say, 70% vs 30% private sector. While this is good in bringing peace and order and stability this could pave way for abuse and stunting private initiative

While we decry strong central planning (as is happening in autocratic countries) it could be very well be happening in our country.   I have observed  local govt:   barangay, town, and province exerting considerable authority and control over their constituents.
