Progress has come to our place.  A vacant lot in the corner of the street in the subdivision has become a venue of events a resto and a videoke bar?  A lot of cars park near our house  and sometimes in front of our driveway. That is quite discomforting  because of security issues and mobility (in case you want to bring your
vehicle out of the garage.

The question is can you take legal action or prohibit/prevent some one from parking that blocks your driveway?

Answer:   it is illegal at the rest of the world and even in the Philippines.  It is illegal for you to block your own driveway.   Two laws specifically prohibit such:

1.  Section 46 of
RA 4136 LTC (LTO) Law
Section 46. Parking prohibited in specified places. - No driver shall park a vehicle, or permit it to stand, whether attended or unattended, upon a highway in any of the following places:
(a) Within an intersection
(b) On a crosswalk
(c) Within six meters of the intersection of curb lines.
(d) Within four meters of the driveway entrance to and fire station.
(e) Within four meters of fire hydrant
(f) In front of a private driveway
(g) On the roadway side of any vehicle stopped or parked at the curb or edge of the highway
(h) At any place where official signs have been erected prohibiting parking.

2.  See MMDA resoluton 2-33of 2000

For illegally parked vehicles, the prohibited areas are hereunder enumerated:
  1. All National roads in Metro Manila.
    1. In primary and secondary roads of cities and municipalities in Metro Manila:

How will the new TRAIN (new improved tax laws) affect the consumers?

None minimal. Say the govt PR people. Talaga ha.... Eh heto na Kuryete tataas na for consumer. Eh sa industrial kaya?  E di apektado cost of goods sold.

Bam Aquino one of those who voted against TRAIN warns of higher prices

This afternoon I put gas in the car I seldom use. The gas is P51 ++ because the station is TRAIN compliant all ready. That is for gas. And when gas prices go up, next to come is the fare increase.  And freight logistic expenses and then prices of prime commodities. Will the govt impose price control eh dagdag gastos ang buwis.

Here is the reason why:  (look at the amount of excise tax) even for diesel

RAIN mandates the imposition of an excise tax of P2.50 per liter on diesel and bunker fuel in 2018, P4.50 in 2019 and P6 in 2020. Gasoline excise tax meanwhile will increase from P4.35 per liter to P7 per liter this year, P9 in 2019 and P10 in 2020.

While the said TRAIN law is purported to be pro POOR, it not.  The TRAIN law hits every one poor and rich alike because most the taxes are levied on consumption which affect every one.

All ready, my family members are rooting against me for campaigning for the Pres who ordered this law to be fast tracked...

Can this post be caned for discussing the truth?

SEC closure order, a move towards dictatorship?  (Ano pa nga ba?   Ano ba iyong Rev Gov being promoted by a former colleague?

NUJP outraged over SEC closure order vs. Rappler  (That is all we can do, be outraged;  hindi ninyo kayang pigilan or stand in his way)

The Security and Exchange Commission has ordered the cancellation of Rappler a media news company (is it or blogger) for allegedly circumventing the rules on foreign ownership by issuing PDR to ON.  Many media practictioners (NUJP) are up in arms against the ruling as pure harrassment

Yes it seems the company was singled out.  It is a common knowledge that a good number of businesses are owned by foreigners through dummies (nominees) trustees, wives, mistresses. But SEC never looked into that (or the other way)  Well o yes it is a media company.

So bloggers, soc media practitioners you could be now a media company.

All ready media companies critical of the administration are suffering:    Inquirer (their site cant be accessed) may be ABS CBN (hindi kita malilimutan Gabby Lopez)

Baka someday mapag initan din ang site na ito.  Maski nangampanya ako sa  Pangulo (now I regret it.  Marami nang maling gawa.)

Bakit napakatraffic?

There is so much traffic lately. It does not take a genius to explain why:

1. For instance, at the boundary of Taytay and Angono, obstructions abound:

    1. The arch makes the road narrow;

    2. There are vendors and parked tricycle near the  arch

    3.  The PUV load and unload passengers at the area.

2.. At highway 2000, before the bridge, the traffic can delay you by one hour;   from SLEX or Makati, via
     the C6 can take only 30 minutes;

   1. The road is irregularly shaped. Some narrow some wide and there are obstructions in the middle like
        post

   2.  There is a tricycle terminal at the very kanto

   3.   The traffic enforcer gives priority to traffic coming from the  West Bank especially tricyles;   Only
about 4 vehicles are allowed to go through every cycle which lasts for about 5 minutes. Hence the
traffic jam can extend up to the bridge before c6

   4.  There are just too many traffic enforcers who do not seem to know what they are doing

   5.  The traffic enforcers do the traffic manually.    They over ride the traffic lights.
