US Govt can seize Seal's book profits.

Social and political criticisms

From Newsmax.com

According to John Martin, head of the DOJ  department prosecuting spies and leakers of classified ino, the govt can seize all the profits of former Navy Seal author Matt Bissonette, the author of book "No Easy Day."  He wrote under the pseudonym:  Mark Owen. It tells of the story how the Navy Seals tracked down and killed Bin Laden. Martin is a 25 year veteran on prosecution of spies

While no classified information was leaked in the book, Martin says that the former Navy Seal author violated  the contract with the government for not having the book reviewed by the govt prior to publication.

Seizing the profits will serve as disincentive for anyone who violates this non disclosure or confidentiality agreement of personnel with US military.

Martin says that the DOJ will not prosecute the author but will simply seize the profts which it can do.  Prosecuting will make Bissonette a celebrity, and gain allies form civil libertarians, Harvard Law School.

US to seize Navy Seal book profits.

Is this happenning in US?  I thought my deceased brother, a discharged USN staff, was paranoid with his claim that he is being targetted by operatives.  He used to work with an electronic warfare fast frigate...

How can this be true in the land of the free (and the home of the brave?)
