A lot of mention of the Philippines lately

It is more fun criticizing

Many vids are being mentioned about the Philippine among them:

1.  High GDO growth

2   Some Filipino businessmen owning global brands;

3.  Companies relocating to the Philippine

4.  Growing strategic importance of the Phil in geopolitics:  USA China

     US acquiring more bases very EDCA, blunting Chinas Southeast Asia ambition,  and even war on              Taiwan

1   Foreigners flocking to the Philippines in 2026

2.  Philippines beautiful just like Singapore

3.  Samsung invests $7 billion at its Calamba City Plant

Was the Philippine constitution violated when EDCA bases were allowed to be constructed in the Philipines?

It is more fun criticizing

Article XVII expressly prohibits the construction of US bsses in the Philippines. Did this violate the 1987  constitution.

Is this an impeachable offense?

World War 1 started on account of the assassination, death of one man Archduke Franz Ferdinand in 1914. The war lasted until 1918.

All ready we heard Pres.  BBM at Singapore saying that the death of a single naval personnel at West Philippine Sea is tantamount to being an act of war. (Interestingly, his name is also Ferdinand!) Big words.    China countered by issuing an order that anyone who trespasses the Chinese territory, can be held for a number of days.  Still not a nice exchange of words.  

Then US sent thousands of war armaments to Subic Bay.  Then there are news that battle forces from the US are steaming towards the WPS.

Are we Filipinos, peace loving at that being drawn into a great risk of war?

The recent encounters between fishermen and constant incursion by China on our perceived territory and the recent visit of US Secretary of Defense foreshadows an oncoming squeeze play where Philippines will be caught in the middle   Clearly it is a batte between China and US towards their imperialistic ambitions

All ready China has  thrown diplomatic barbs on the said visit, ie that US must not interfere

But Phl is helpless vs China   US clearly in not all together altruistic in the EDCA and or military assitance it will provide

What side are we on?
