Many people forgot the event, and even elected the relative to most powerful position; now many regret this action

It is more fun criticizing

The masses, as many politicians observed, have such a short memory.  So many forgot who was ousted at the 1986 people power.   And even reelected him.  His promises were forgotten and they seemed to be back to old system and even more.

    1.  Their estate tax was not paid;
    2.  Many of their cases were dropped.
    3.  Billions
    4.  The questionable 2025 GAA has been disbursed 60%

Do we regret that we elected him?  He lost the VP race then vs Robredo, and would not have won with a little  (or big help) from their former friends from Davao.

And now the govt seem to be in shambles -  more corruption, being  a substance dependent?   What is happening?

Continuing mass action at EDSA shrine as show of support for VP Duterte

It is more fun criticizing

Will this gather critical mass or momentum to be a power ful movement?  Or will this fizzle out because it is unimportant

The OP was right in stopping impeachment move vs the said office as it would divide the nation and could be a gambit that can go wrong and topple his administration .  Not with this bubbles of dissent.

AFP top officers rejects call of FPRRD on fractured government

It is more fun criticizing

There will be civil war or disorder after FPRRD made calls to the AFP leadership for action to remove MTR, and PBBM regarding fractured governance.

Meanwhile the trickling mass action at EDSA of VP Duterte continues.   No critical mass yet.   Drama stops

FPRRD supporters gather in front of EDSA shrine - a brewing supporters power?

It is more fun criticizing

Hundreds of of Duterte supporter gather in front of EDSA shrine.  Will the they reach the critical mass?
Is the time right?  How come the other family inspire such a gathering the second time?

People thought that there was going to be new tomorrow  That they will change.   And recent developments show nothing changed...

Name dropping is the name of the game - "palusot"

It is more fun criticizing

"No man is above the law". " Govt of men rather than of names"

We want a government because we want order.  Many people want disorder.

It is is time we become mature and we stop this practice to pretend to be in power even if were are not.

Disorder, traffic jams, widespread chaos will continue if we continue this practice.

Extension of libreng carousel pasahe

It is more fun criticizing

Many commuters have been clamoring for extension of libreng carousel pasahe which could reach up to P75.00 from PITX to Monumento    A huge savings for commuters and huge outlay for govt offices

From where do we source this?   Govt revenues, or loans.

It hurts from point of view of taxpayers that we are fast becoming a social welfare state.  A formula for doom and debt default as in Venenzuela.     It hurts to pay even a P1 in taxes and yet some people have to the gall to ask for more libre.  Hindi nasisiyahan at nagpasalamat nakaraang libre.

Hindi dapat iaasa sa gobyerno.  Dapat magsikap at magtrabaho

I was one of the thousands stranded by floods Wednesday afternoon

It is more fun criticizing

Rizal Philippines  |  October 4, 2014

From Inquirer News

I was one of the thousands stranded last Wednesday September 30, 2014 after heavy downpour due to a thunderstorm flooded parts of MM:    Aurora Blvd, Santolan and Ortigas.  I was supposed to see someone at 4:30 pm in Cubao. Rain started pouring in torrents coupled with thunder and lightning.

Despite the heavy rains, there was a wave of humanity:   FEU NU Ateneo de La Salle fans waiting for a basketball game.  It took me almost 30 minutes to reach farmers.

Policemen involved in high profile crimes in the Philippines - nothing to worry? Says top PNP officials

It is more fun criticizing

Philstar - Zero tolerance for roque cops

Philstar Editorial on rogue cops

From inquirer - 8 cops in fake drug bust, from La Loma Precinct

The VACC (Volunteer Against Crimes Coalition) is pretty much alarmed over the involvement in high profile crimes.  Their VP said that the police is supposed to serve and protect (as is the motto in US)  But they do the reverse.

The recent high profile crimes involved:

1.  The alleged  hold up of a van that involved 12 QCPD policemen.  The loot was alleged to be P2 million  owned by a Mindanao contractor to buy heavy equipment. The alleged head, Police Captain Allan Emlan surrendered today.

This is alarming because the entire force of the station seemed to be involved and involved even graduates of Police Academy.   What kind of training, values did they get from the academy?   Money money money?

Going to the North (Isabela and Cagayan) and EDSA !! can be an ardous journey

It is more fun criticizing

Rizal  Philippines  |   September 5, 2014

I had to make a business trip to Nueva Vizcaya and Isabela yesterday.  It was a challenging travel

1.  I nearly missed my reservation at 8:00 for one of the buses going to the north because:

     1.  It rained (EDSA is slow moving because the water level rose in some low lying roads of EDSA;

    2. All the buses were SRO because of the problems with MRT and for unknown reason.

It was difficult to get a ride.  I walked from Galleria to SM just to get on the buses that were not as crowded in Galleria.

From Rappler - traffic at EDSA at standstill when it rains

2. At the bus terminal, there was  huge crowd waiting to get a ride.   This particular bus required reservations ahead of time because of suspension of a fatal accident last February 7, 2014  (But I  see other Florida bus - GV Florida's station near Timog to be open and accepting passengers all ready.

On the way back though, there was another challenge.  A trailer truck malfunctioned and blocked Sta Fe zigzag for  3 hours.   I would have arrived Manila by 3 am.  Instead I arrived at a little past 7.  Someone must find other routes for the Northeastern Board.  Frequent landslides  and accidents that blocked the now four lane Dalton pass could mean countless hours lost fuel, and revenues lost.

Dalton Pass Alternative Route Road Project cost P5.9 billion

Alternative Dalton Pass road project  (San Jose Aritao road costing P232 million

As if that was not enough, the NLEX route to Manila (A Bonifacio) was jammed even on an early morning.  The reason according to hearsay was the "one truck lane policy, the traffic rerouting by Caloocan City.

The queue stretched as far as 7 km up to 5 pm yesterday  Some motorists left their vehicles on the road.

When will the travails of travellers end?

Spirito ng EDSA

Si Filosofo Tasyo ay patuloy sa pagpilosopo

Politicians really love high impact symbolic events that give them a sense of heroism and greatness.  But at the end of the day, there is nothing to it and everything is empty and hollow.

The religious and the civil society and the anti showed mighty forces before.  But like any political activity, it was to the victor belongs the spoils, and those who were not there are now in power and now share the spoils.

Did we see many who were punished;  was PCGG successful in running after ill gotten wealth?  Were there really palpable results.  I will tell you, corruption is worse and abuse is worse than during the martial law.  Whereas before there was one, now it has multiplied.  There are now hordes of corrupt and abusive people.

Reform must really come from within, and not from external affairs just like EDSA uno or EDSA dos.

Mga panggogoyo.  Kalokohan  Balingbings flourished

Now people seeing through this do not care.
