Will have better cops and soldiers with higher salaries? That is the hypothesis - is it happening? No!!!!

It is more fun criticizing

The past president has urged govt to raise the salaries of soldiers and and cops  The hypothesis, the given objective was that it woud raise their morale and the  financial need now filled with higher salary will dissuade them from committing crimes.   But this did happen.

The frequent reports:

1.  That a certain Sgt was involved in extortion;
2.   A sergeant shot a lola dead
3.   High level officials involved in
      1  High volume drug recycling
2  Murder of his alleged  paramour
3  Prison officials in many cases
4.   Petty crimes by low level soldiers and cops.

This happened after salaries were increased   What happened to the theory hypothesis:   higher pay means higher morale

Our officials must set get examples and reform their values and norms so that in general our security officers especially the top guns would set good example

He said, they said; whom do we believe now

The general public, the readers of the news are getting confused. Whom do we believe now:   the mainstream media, or the bloggers?   The newspapers, the govt information office or other people in the know:

1.  Narco politicians

Take the case of a now on extended vacation City Mayor in West Visayas (and he may not return for good for fear of his life). The said mayor is in narco list of the administration and as a proof of the severity of the case, the bemedalled  police officer who saw the demise of two other mayors alleged to be on drug trade was to be transferred to his city (Fortunately the transfer was, may be because of public outrage was deferred).  The good mayor denied the alleged connection with the drug trade.

However, upon interviewing the residents, they told that nothing could be further from the truth.  They alleged the now dead No. 1 drug lord in the city, now dead, funded his election winning.

And then another drug lord, who cant be caught, finally was arrested when he  left the country

2. About the minors killed  alleged to be  innocent

There was an outcry over the minors, alleged to be innocent by their parents and their relatives.  The public and the relatives could have been led into this turmoil by  a  certain govt offices who want to be popular, and the media.  When there is controversy, copy and broad cast sell.

But we have to be critical of these kind of news.  The fact is many minors have become criminals:  engaged in drug trade, pretty crimes and even hold ups.   The parents naturally will not admit nor accept their young  children to be such.   Iba na mundo ngayon.  Maraming bata ang mga pasaway. And if the police operates against them, and they offer resistance, naturally we can say they asked for it.

Let us suspend our judgement and not jump into conclusion about these alleged involvement of the minors in crimes

From NYC - Understanding Belgium Security Failures

Image result for security lapse in Brussels

Many are pointing out that the Brussels attack happened (and could have been checked and prevented) had there been no lapses in intelligence and police work.   Molebeek for instance had several police districts and could have looked the other way at the activities (of Muslims) who compromise the bulk of the 100,000 population there. The fact was many of the terrorism committed in the past were traceable to Molenbeek, and still no red flag was raised.  Intelligence work, data bases on suspected terrorist could have been nil or sloppy.  Turkey emailed Brussels on one of the bombers who was a convicted criminal in Brusel who was briefly detained in Turkey for suspected terrorist activity.  His brother Khalid, suspect in Paris bombing continued to elude police.   Even relatives of the bombers notified the police of the radicalization of their relatives.  The police could have ignored/failed to act on the info.

An American intelligence officer was interviewed and this were the things he told about this Brussels incident:

1.  There are three stages in the aftermath of this attacks:   the chaos, identification of the suspect, and raids being conducted to gather more intelligence.

2.  The purpose of the raid is to gather more intelligence.  For instance, many are wondering why they can not identify the 3rd suspect.  The straightforward method is to show the picture of the suspect, and ask whom they arrested who he is.  That he is known to the Brussels police surprised the US intelligence officer.  The data base then should be analyzed for connection/links

3.  You cant play defense, with thousands of foreign nationals joining the ISIS at Syria.  A serious offense must be played.  Thus tracking the fighters and monitoring nationals returning from Syria, placing them on watchlist.

Image result for Number 2 man of ISIS killed by US forces
                                              # 2 man of ISIS killed;  he is the money man
From Fox News - Haji Imam, no 2 man, Finance Minister of ISIS killed by US special ops
(Some doubt this news though. This is the third time he would have been killed.  He has been killed twice all ready.  In April 2015, and September 2014, according to critics)

I would even suggest that Mollenbeek be zoned (as what the Japanesed did) or that it be razed.

4.  The police security and intelligence works would not be sufficient. While the tails are being cut, the head should be destroyed as well, like the killing of the #2 man of ISIS, the bag man.  Or cutting off their logistics like bombing the money stash of ISIS.

Is nobody watching over creeks and bridges? Are authorities sleeping?

It is more fun criticizing

Rizal Philippines  |September 29, 2014

Can you still see the creek, and the bridge?

As I biked yesterday, I looked for a creek and I did not find it?  Reason, some urban settlers blocked its view.  The west side was occupied by a junk shop!  How come?  Nobody patrols and watches over our natural resources like rivers and creeks?  Dont we have a government that polices these resources?

Where is the creek?  The bridge?

Who allowed this structure be built over a creek bridge?

Philstar - Zero tolerance for roque cops

Philstar Editorial on rogue cops

From inquirer - 8 cops in fake drug bust, from La Loma Precinct

The VACC (Volunteer Against Crimes Coalition) is pretty much alarmed over the involvement in high profile crimes.  Their VP said that the police is supposed to serve and protect (as is the motto in US)  But they do the reverse.

The recent high profile crimes involved:

1.  The alleged  hold up of a van that involved 12 QCPD policemen.  The loot was alleged to be P2 million  owned by a Mindanao contractor to buy heavy equipment. The alleged head, Police Captain Allan Emlan surrendered today.

This is alarming because the entire force of the station seemed to be involved and involved even graduates of Police Academy.   What kind of training, values did they get from the academy?   Money money money?

Criminals are really getting bolder; 2nd broad day hold up

Social and political criticisms

Rizal   PHL  March 13, 2013.

This is unreported in the newspapers or radio.  Another broad day hold up took place today some several meters away from the INC church and the check point for COMELEC.

The criminals gave gotten bolder and hell bent on shaming the local dad and head of PNP.

They are becoming braver and getting away with their crimes.  They are wiser and faster than the police counter part.

The police must keep up.  Or otherwise, they will be laughing stock of the mouse.
