In 2013 Congressional tiff, the  losing candidate alleged that LR received funding contribution ie. Loida Lewis, a multi billionaire widow from Bicol region.  Nothing was clear from that complaint by fmr. Cong.Nelly   Villafuerte who was defeated by VP Robredo.

Lately, for 2022 LR camp has been questioned for allegedly launching a volunteer site for crowdsourcing funding for the good VP candidacy.  No less than the now ally of the good VP  Commissioner Rowena Guanzon  warned of foreign contribution  to a campaign is prohibited and may lead to the disqualification

If indeed this is true, these dual citizen may kindly stop for unduly interfering in our purely domestic affiars.  If indeed, they care about our country by meddling in our elections, they should renounce their US citizenship live here and grapple with our problems

A presidential candidate now occupying a sensitive govt position was alleged to have told that there will be trouble in case the other leading candidate wins.  (Perhaps reminiscent of the walk out of election board of canvassers  for alleged irregularity)   Sen Ping Lacson declares this statement to be uncalled for and irresponsible.   

However they echoed the  same scenario in case BBM wins in their April 17, 2022 presscon

The allegation was promptly denied by the concerned party.

While many are pooh pooing surveys most of the surveys conducted in the past were right.  Including the VP race in 2016.   The survey showed the VP race to be tight

Before the October deadline for the  filing of COC, a lot of names have come out as Pres VP tandem:

     1.   Duterte Duterte

     2.   Pacquiao Robredo

     3.   BBM  Duterte

     4.   Ping Vic

     5.   Go Duterte   x

     6.   ____Isko Moreno

 

Is Dick Gordon running too.

Early on mud is thrown in various directions:     Du vs Isko;   Du vs.   Pacquiao,   Opposition vs Go and Du.

Today I am watching on TV the launch of Ping Vic tandem.  All ready I see repeat of demagoguery - of speeches with very vague words:    "pagbabago",  liwanag vs dilim, pag asa.   How we wish leaders can be more specific.   Most posturing are anti.  We cant go forward with anti, or backward vision.   

How we wish we can see many changes - real changes.   

But if you are not connected with the administration, you stand a slim chance of winning.  They have consolidated their foothold with the grass roots  with the barangay with the ayuda.   They shared power and php with their officials by having them handle most of the work during the  pandemic.    The senatoriables of the administration have an edge with the  use of govt media.   Those who stand to benefit are the senatoriables.   

Good luck to those  who do not have these advantages.

Most likely BBM and Du would win.     Ping, Vic, Robredo Pacquiao,, Moreno are not going to make it This is my fearless forcast.

Maybe in a fit of desperation (the Lascana recantation was dud) the opposition, the LP through its VP, the titular head of the party will send a video to UN to highlight certain negative things about the current administration.

The party denies there is a destabilization, but what name shall we call this move.  This is meant to weaken the power and popularity of DU30.  And when he is weak, what will happen?. There are motives to have such move by the politicians and the miners affected by the closure order by DENR (and Sec Lopez has the support of the President)

When I was still in high school, as a high school organist (a staff of the school paper) we were warned by our adviser not to hang or wash the dirty linen in public (meaning we do not make articles or commentaries vs events or personalities of the school.  What will the video do regarding the image in the international community, businessmen who are beginning to make increased FDI (unlike before)

Are we not shooting our own feet?  Is it all about power struggle, or regaining govt control.?  So that the commissioners (as the late Sen Joker Arroyo used to say) that the party commissioners can take over.  Politics he said is all about the quarrel and competition among commissioners.  Let no one be fooled by the smokescreen or false pretenses that it is all about nation building and for the good of the country.  It is for the good for the commissioner

While the VP has the right to be an administration fiscalizer, she is first and foremost a high level official of the state, who carries the image of the country, and a symbol of unity and strength for the country, not a sumbengera
