This post concerns commentaries regarding the "pasabog testimony"  of the last witness for the Art. IV of the impeachment vs VP Duterte.

The testimony of the star witness was considereably weakened and holes found (not enough evidence and or preparation?

1.  The continued answer of the good director saying he has direct personal knowledge of the investigation made by the agents, and previous to his appointment.    He has therefore impeached himself as a credible witness for being a hearsay witness  (Article 130 Section 22 where Vinluan reviewed the 29 year law veteran on the subject) , and admitting that his wife, a congresswoman (who sponsored the impeachment

2.  Pia Cayetanos pointing out that the good director was not 100% truthful in his communications regading the Senate GSIS  incident and that impeaches the witness.  

3.   The director was not subpoenaed but merely invited by the  prosecution

4.  The continued effort and as objected to by the Prosecution to make legal conclusions on the facts presented as with the Kapunan speech.    The Chief Judge continued to remind the prosecution ot stop making conclusion on the evidence presented.   It is for the Court to decide. The NBI director, it would seem did not stop to make conclusion.   It is often the danger to invite a judge, a DOJ employee to make judgement as they are asked questions in the court - they can make conclusion and draw away the judges from the main agenda of the case.    Propaganda statements could be made.   

5  While the prosecution maintained that it is not a court proceeding, nevertheless, the rules of evidence was in effect.   And the Article 130 sec 22 did in the good witness.     

6.  The Prosecution does not seem to have enough solid evidences, nor proponderance as was the request ot subpoena bank records   Is the fishing for evidence statement correct?  

The Lascana affidavit was neither signed nor notarized

According to one post, 7/10 citizens are not interested to view the  impeachment proceeding which according to them has become very technical....  Full of legalese, technicalities, and  difficult to follow and understand

Everybody thought:  there would be P20.00 rice, the Tullano gold, the Unity Team.  But now everybody who voted might be utterly disappointed and ashamed that they brought him back to power  Thnking he is rich anyway, he had an Oxford education

But it turned out:

      He has not paid the billions in Estate Tax

      Allegations of wide spread corruption

      Widespread and wholesale corruption amounting to trillions:    transfer of funds from PDIC Philhealth

              sale of BSP gold 

     Utter disregard of govt procedures (especially budgetting)

     Lavish parties

     Allegations of drug abuse

     Malemaletang pera dinadala sa mga mansion nila.

Dapat nadisqualify si PBBM ng magfile ng COC

Impeachment of VP Sarah may not prosper

Atty Romy Makalintal, a famous election law lawyer has pointed out that if 19th Congress expires then a new case has to be filed which may not be allowed, since you can only be impeached once.  A Congress has to finish all its bueiness, and cant endorse the unfinished business to the next Congress.  The Senate and HOR may have a new composition  

  But Senate President said, that the impeachment can only proceed after the SONA, in which case, VP Sarah can be off the hook.  What do you think/

Budget hearing for the OVP Duterte

VP Sara did not answer many of the questions asked during the initial hearing for the budget of her office.   She later did not attend the hearing yesterday which other members of the committee took as a boycott and insult. Ms Sara sent a letter to the committee saying that she has submitted all the docs and requirements for the budget.

It should be observed though that there issues from COA which needs to be addressed as former head of Dep ed.

Elsewhere it was said:

1  That only two persons at Congress has full control of the budget?  (She alleges that her requsest for

     schoolbuilding was only x amount.  However, what was approved was much higher  and which

     was to be apportioned to other members of the Congress... Hmmm Dapat investigathan din)

2.  That her office can operate without a budget in case her office is defunded as is a threat

Earlier, Cong. Marcoleta called out that the OVP should be respected. 

This post agrees with the observation of Cong Dante Marcoleta, and  that the memberf of the committee were ganging on her.

Let us pray for her and the members of the committee

Why is there a stand off between PNP and KOJC followers?  Can the PNP enter a Church which is supposed to be a refuge?

Is this simple police operations being politicalized?  (to paraphrase a VIP)

Why are we in this kind of trouble?

Maybe in a fit of desperation (the Lascana recantation was dud) the opposition, the LP through its VP, the titular head of the party will send a video to UN to highlight certain negative things about the current administration.

The party denies there is a destabilization, but what name shall we call this move.  This is meant to weaken the power and popularity of DU30.  And when he is weak, what will happen?. There are motives to have such move by the politicians and the miners affected by the closure order by DENR (and Sec Lopez has the support of the President)

When I was still in high school, as a high school organist (a staff of the school paper) we were warned by our adviser not to hang or wash the dirty linen in public (meaning we do not make articles or commentaries vs events or personalities of the school.  What will the video do regarding the image in the international community, businessmen who are beginning to make increased FDI (unlike before)

Are we not shooting our own feet?  Is it all about power struggle, or regaining govt control.?  So that the commissioners (as the late Sen Joker Arroyo used to say) that the party commissioners can take over.  Politics he said is all about the quarrel and competition among commissioners.  Let no one be fooled by the smokescreen or false pretenses that it is all about nation building and for the good of the country.  It is for the good for the commissioner

While the VP has the right to be an administration fiscalizer, she is first and foremost a high level official of the state, who carries the image of the country, and a symbol of unity and strength for the country, not a sumbengera

Form IB times - Philhealth in danger of Financial Collapse

There are news that Philhealth can support its mandate in 6 to 10 months only. It paid a total of P10 billion last year to pay for the premiums of the members under Pantawid Pamilya program and senior citizens according to VP Emilio Dorotan.

Last year it had collection of only P980 million and claims amounting to P3.5 billion, clearly a deficit, according to VP Manolo Inigo.    Albay Gov. Joey Salceda that it should have, under ;the law, P5 billion in cash and P120 billion in reserves.

Philhealth leadership denies the allegation   Philhealth Chief Alex Padilla claims Philhealth finances robust, VPs misquoted.  He advised members not to panic.

Right after the celebration of National Heroes day, we seem to be having National Villains day.  No less than the Office of the President Pnoy and Vice President Jejomar Binay seem to be under heavy fire and  and are in hot waters.  

The committee on justice in the House voted that there is substance in form and content in the impeachment complaint filed vs Pres Pnoy at the House despite vigorous objections from LP allies in the house
