Are we building a society of mendicants and ayuda dependents? Are Ayuda funds the answer to Philippine progress?

It is more fun criticizing

The Senate si questioning the AKAP funds amounting to P39 B and may be for the right reason.  It together with other funds likek 4ps is sinking the country deeper into quagmire of rising debt, now at PHP 15 trillion.   The BIR and BoC are ill equpped to reach their own collection targets.  Many taxpayers have not fully recovered, and many have taxpayers fatigue with all the news of inept fiscal management.

I was in a meeting before with a govt executive who told a story about his cousin whom he gave free board and loding while studying the City's Unversity.  He was fortunate to have a job, as an OFW.  Upon his return, he was forking out a nice sum to the govt executive.  Which the latter refused immediately.

He said it was a slap on his face  It awakened him to a reality that that was an insult.   As a person, you must live to give, not to receive.

As is now.   If you are citizen it is your duty to contribute to earn for the community.  To be called a makabayan.  Not to receive doleouts from govt and from others.

This AYUDAs create a culture of mendicancy and lackk of initiatibve and industry.  Its entirely counter prodcuctive and can not push our country to progress.   No one will strive to study, to fund a job, work hard to earn, and thus contribute to country's progress and patrimony.

Whoever thought of this is creating a  govt sponsored/funded kitty fund for launching a nationwide campaign to get elected

It is time to balance and re examine the social welfare role, and revenue raising role of the govt.

Landmark court decision profoundly affecting lives, progress and development of communities

It is more fun criticizing

Even wonder that in our vicinity there is scarcity of commercial, industrial and even large scale residential development funded by GFI?   Well its because most of the large tracts of land are untitled.  So large companies cant buy land because they cant have legal rights over the land.

All because of land mark court decision awarding ownership to an old Spanish family.  They have the sole power to allow future titling of lands.  And they are not giving any.   After reading all the legal mumbo jumbo, my conclusion is that there isnt going to be any title now and in the future in this municipality

Such byzantine justice set up in the country may be is one reason why the country is lagging behind neighbors.  Because men wear robes.

This is a decided case and we respect the court.  But the local govt objected, the lower courts decided that the title is....But the higher courts overturned and the highest sustained.   What do you call this?

5 Negative Effects of Political Dynasties

From brihtkite - undesirable effects of political dynasties

Last week,  I was engaged in a discussion who compared our province with that of Bulacan, Pampanga, Pangasinan, Batangas, Cavite and Laguna. They were definitely way way ahead of what used to the premier province of the Philippines.  The reason, it has been under a dynasty of a family for nearly two decades with the mother, son and father team, alternating of running for chief of the province.

Compare that with other provinces and cities, where the candidates, and the  elected officials compete to implement the best initiatives and improvements

So no new ideas, no  new initiatives are brought forward.  Economic development, real job growth is relegated to the back seat (or the trash can)   How about attracting investments. All we had are gymn, waiting shed construction,   garbage recycling.  and nothing more.   But other provinces think of new highways, new economic zones, trade and tourism drives, and campaigns.  Plan for new cities and relocation of cities and towns.

Naturally, they have same blood at the towns and barangays, what can we expect.

Couple this with allegations that their families are involved in drugs
