Social and political criticisms
Makati, PHL | 8:00 am February 4, 2013
I drove for my daughter early this morning at 5:30 to bring her to Makati; I managed to get her to Makati at 7:30 am and came back to my town at about 9:00 am. The reason? There was too much traffic.
While there were many causes like parked vehicles along the major route, funeral tents along the major thoroughfares, tricycle terminals at the choke points, very clearly, infrastructures are needed to solve the problem. Major choke points were: the narrow bridge at floodway just before Cambridge, and the Bagong Ilog flyover just before the Kalayaan crossing. Traffic was hardly moving at the Makati bound side.
Just as Roubini suggested, these could be addressed soon to speed up our progress and sustain our growth?
