Does the Sultanate own Sabah? Did they just lease it to Malaysia?

Social and political criticisms

From Asia News  | February 16, 2013

Feeling betrayed and left out in the current peace negotiation with MILF, the heirs of Sultan of Sulu decided to press their claim for sovereignty on their own.  On Feb 11, 2012, some l,000 followers of the Sultanate together with l00 armed men journeyed to Sabah not to invade but to return home, according to Rajah Mudah Agbimuddin Kiram

The action is without the blessing of Phil. national government.

The Filipinos have been surrounded by Malaysian security forces, have not been arrested and are in a standoff.

It must be remembered that earlier stories state that Sabah is really owned by Sultanate of Sulu.  As to how Malaysia annexed Sabah to their territory is something that our Armed Forces and RP should be ashamed of;   the residents of Sabah who are from Sulu are now declared illegals (Was it merely leased by the Sultanate to Malaysia?)

Do you remember the Jabidah massacre?
