LTO Asec blames supply chain for delayed vehicle license plates

Social and political criticisms

Rizal Philippines   | February 4, 2013

In a radio interview with Asec V. Torres of LTO at DZRH, it was learned that the delayed delivery of vehicle license plates was attributed to non conformance of suppliers to standards:    paints that peel off and those that have air bubbles when painted due to below specs metal plates.

The DOTC conducts the bidding and the user is LTO;   in other words, LTO does no have control over suppliers;  the mother unit DOTC has control.   Although the DOTC has been informed.....

Backlog is at 8 months and it is expected that suppliers will reform and that the plates will be delivered.

What do you think of this management practice at DOTC?

How can LTO really serve the public?

Does the President know of this problem?  Ito ba ay "Tuwid na Daan"

However many problems all delays and petty corruption came in that must be addressed
