Have the traditional Catholic practices on Holy Week heightened Christian practices?

It is more fun criticizing

Rizal Philippines
Good Friday,  2022

Its Good Friday today.  We recall the Passion, Suffering, and Death (and Resurrection) of the Lord
Jesus Christ.  We have holidays to have time to reflect and celebrate these occasions.

But really have we become more Christian with these very rich practices/tradition:

     1.  Pabasa
     2.  Self flagellation and Pagpapako sa Cruz YT pagpapako sa Cruz Pampanga
     3.  Bisita Iglesia
     4.  Way of the Cross
     5.  Processions
     6.  Salubong on Easter Sunday
     7.   Palm Sunday
     8.   Senakulo

We have specialized events in certain places like the Moriones in Marinduque

This post dare say No.

Selfishness, inhumanity of humans to fellow humans abound, taking advantage of others, crimes abound, and consequently, countless suffering happen.

Right after Holy Week, the criminals who might have self flagellated, the businessmen who went of Visita Iglesia go back to their old unChristian ways.   Love is professed but there is no charity.

Its time to make these events remarkable and leave a lasting imprint on the minds and hearts of Crhistians
