A problem with rotting onions appeared in certain posts and was discussed in a tv radio program. It appeared that onions were rotting in a certain area in an island province the cause being traced to logistics and absence of cold storage facility. There are actually cold storage facility in the island province but the distances could be immense making the facility useless (the logistic cost is high making the cost of the onion uncompetitive) It appeared that certain GI migrants encouraged the growing of onions without studying the feasibility.
