Nationwide Lockdown As The Coronavirus Continue To Spread

Lockdown in India - is it working - Al Jazeera
Following reports of CoVid 19 India following examples of other countries imposed a 21 day lockdown.  In an impoverished country of 1.3 Billion (the rise in wealth has not resulted in trickle down to the poorest people) this has produced negative effect, what with limited health faclities and system to respond to this pandemic.

Lack most countries, India has short supply of PPE and ventilators

What will be the next move.for Indias leadership

Do we have a protocol, a strategy, a masterplan for dealing with a pandemic.?

Miriam Santiago Filed "Pandemic Preparedness Act" In 2013 Still ...

From the way it looks we have none.  The way we deal with the Covid 19, as all countries are, all is on ad hoc basis by the seat of the pants. And yet we witnessed the Outbreak, Pandemic movies. We saw the speech of Bill Gates prophesying that future wars will be fought with bio weapons, not nuclear weapons, and yet we did not pay attention to a future or present reality.

What was the reaction of the President to the Virus  veeruz as he says, "duduraan" niya, a funny way of assessing a serious and deadly situation, but reflects our pride and hubris vs certain events that might happen

Do we have a health care plan for epidemics

None.  Why none?   We as a tropical country is subject to epidemics:  cholera, dengue. TB, and all other exotic diseases.  The Sub Saharan African countries were hit by Ebola (the disease that hit USA in "Outbreak"

The late Senator Myriam Defensor Santiago proposed HB 1573 "An Act Strengthening Naitonal Preparedness  and Response to Public Health Emergencies"  as early as 7  years ago,  still at committee level on the preparedness of the country vs pandemic.  Why does nobody pays attention to this.  (After reading the bill, I noticed that it lacked details on how the act shall be implemented.  Maybe somebody would work on this) )  RA 11332 enumerated more details on reporting of and containment of Public Health Emergencies.  But a lot more details would have to be inputted on the said law

Pandemic and All Hazards Preparedness act  This act even calls for reserve force similar to that of Citizen Army.

Miriam Santiago Filed "Pandemic Preparedness Act" In 2013 Still ...

One of the experts on said infectious diseases who worked for WHO is former Sec of Health Manuel Dayrit .And right now he is being interviewed frequently as a resource person on epidemic

Our disaster preparedness and NDRMCC action on Taal Volcano is admireable.

Much is still be desired on the way we handled CoVid 19

1.  Too late a response?  We could have done the lockdown in February?

2.  Too soon to little preparation?

Many were caught by surprise and many loopholes gaps in the execution were the order of the day:

    1.  Communication to the ground commander

    2.  Conflicts in the order:

        1.  Essential services employees could not get to work -  even doctors and nurses

       2.  Free flow of food and essential commodities -  the checkpoint mentality still persisted
in the minds of police force and military;  hence food supplies became scarce

      3.  Schedule in going to the market  What was to be prevented:  people getting close to one another
           was not lessened;  it increased;

     4.  Delays or absence of  i food distribution.   The lockdown procedure in other countries meant that people  could not go to the market and groceries and hence food and other provisions must be delivered to
the residents.  This could lead to riots if people are in lockdown and people have nothing to eat.

3.  Lockdown or mass testing ?

Other countries did not have to resort to the cruel and harsh lockdown but managed to flatten the curve
like South Korea and Japan.   Some great minds in the department in charge of health seem to be averse
mass testing.  Germany goes for mass testing

The President says we are in a war. And good generals are prepared for various war scenarios.   For instance General Schwarskoff has all details of a battle plan drawn to the last logistic plan including tissue paper and slippers on soldiers.  We could do better than that?

REAL News about the Wuhan Virus

HERE'S THE TRUTH BEHIND THE WUHAN VIRUS:
Bill Gates & Barack Obama released a docuseries on Netflix called PANDEMIC in December right before the Wuhan virus was "discovered."
The docuseries pushed the need for the Gates Foundation to receive funding to carry on virus research to prevent the next PANDEMIC!
Bill Gates funded the Wuhan lab in China that released the Wuhan virus and is already selling test kits. Coincidence? Bill Gates was a member of China's Academy of Sciences who built the lab and he was awarded their highest honor.
The Wuhan virus was originally developed at the University of North Carolina by NIH grants approved by the Obama administration in 2012.
The NIH defunded the "dangerous" UNC research because of the proven human-to-human transmission, so the Communist Chinese scientists left UNC and took their work to the NEWLY BUILT Wuhan lab in 2017 - funded by Gates & pals.
The head of the Harvard Chemistry & Biology department, with ties to Gates & Epstein, was arrested for accepting bribes from the Communists. Did Epstein know what was coming?
The Pirbright Institute, funded by Bill Gates, owns the "patent" on Coronavirus genetic sequencing. They did simulation testing on a global PANDEMIC in 2019.
The first case of Wuhan virus was reported in China on November 17th. Communists didn't inform WHO or CDC until January 11th. Why?
How does the Wuhan virus spread and how does your body fight it?
Bill Gates & Barack Obama docuseries marketed the need for a global "universal" vaccine to replace all other flu vaccines. I believe it will be used to deliver a human chip via nanotechnology designed to be monitored and controlled by Huawei's 5G network.

Masuwerti Meralco nang mabili nang bagong grupo

Image result for Meralco sold to MVP

The trending tirade vs MVP and Ayala, two of biggest tycoons, billionaire in the country, highlights the monopoly and control of the tycoons on the economy.   Both virtually have control over the telco regulator, and may be even the energy regulator.

We may not be privy to the goings on between and among regulatory bodies and Meralco and others involved in power sector.  But reports have it that the main reason why the Lopezes sold Meralco was its difficulty in getting rate increases under GMA.  (GMA Govt planning to take over Meralco?

Govt sat on the request of Meralco for rate increase for 8 long yerars

The Lopezes sold out to the MVP group who eventually had 53% control of the company.  And lo and behold under MVP Meralco became very profitable because it got a provisional increase under the new administration.   Meralco was soon presided by a veteran former CEO of energy company and engaged in a lot of innovation (founding a collection company, internet via power lines)  prepaid electricity and many many more like outsourcing of linemans activity through its retired employees..

PD30 wants dialogue with water company

Paano mo iboycott ang telco at expressway at 2big?

Grabe naman ang wish na ito.

It is is still a democratic govt.  The revolutionary govt, thanks God is not yet in place.  (I understand a former colleague is the mastermind of this.  Bah)

This post is bothered by the sudden change of heart of the Presidency vs two of the largest business in the Philippines:  Ayala and the Metro Pacific.  Since they are all over the place and affecting the lives of people:  telco, infrastructures and water.   All of a sudden a large portion of the society, in social media owing to the sentiment and emotion carried by difficulties with the basic commodity, are ganging up vs Ayala and Pangilinan, and may be very soon with other businesses.

The two behemoths are in the process of large infrastructure project - the skyway linking North and South Express way.   Ayala is building communities for the masses and had major projects in Davao  Let us not forget the jobs they have created and taxes they have paid not to mention the solution to some of our problems.   Talk about gratitude.

Definitely the two large water companies have their lapses and may seem predatory and scandalous in their contracts.   I am no friend of this two guys what with: slow internet (Smart and Globe) and our town with water supply from Manila water. Who am I to say the contracts the past administration in 1997 are not onerous? Who is not without faults and defects.

But to kick them out and replace them with Prime Water, whose services are not that examplary and way below of Manila Water and  Maynilad is unfair and capricious and does not stand well with the rest of citizenry.

Same thing with ABS CBN. non renewal of franchise.  Certainly the Presidency carries with him the mandate of people and these businessmen and their employees also have people who need employment and jobs.

We want to see statesman as our leader.  Not vendetta kings or Megalomaniac emperors.   Time to be more circumspect.   Hinay hinay lang bay...
