Cong of Bayan Muna. criticizes Prez handling of Sabah conflict

Social and political criticisms

From Business Mirror by Marvin N. Benaning | March 4, 2013

Party list Rep Neri Colmenares of Bayan Muna says that the Sabah conflict was not only mishandled by PNoy but clearly as betrayal.  The claim of the Sultanate is as valid and strong as the claim over Panatag shoal (since Malaysia pays rent or padjak to the sultanate. However, the Pres, through the DOJ distanced itself from the Sultanate claim and even threatening drastic legal action.

PNRC chair Richard Gordon has requested humanitarian action from ICRC for the Muslim group holed up in Malaysia.

The Malaysian authorities have pledged more drastic action vs Kiram's group;  surrender without conditions says Hamza Taiba,, chief of police of Sabah.  His call was echoed by Pres Aquino. The call was rejected by Kiram and his followers saying that the death of their 12 brothers only strengthened their resolve.  The leader of the group escaped and whereabouts unknown. (The Taosugs are not violent people are not violent by very brave -  Princess Merriam)

In a bizarre  turn of events, another person claiming to be the Paramount Sultan of North  Borneo and Sulu surfaced:   Ibrahim Bahjin -Shakirullah. He was born in Patikul Sulu, a cardiologist and served the people of Sulu.

Do you agree with Cong Colmenares?

What do you think of the infighting among Muslims:  Kiram vs Shakirullah?

Do you think that the Sabah claim of Kiram vs Malaysia/Britain is strong?
