This post happened to watch a religious program that is a Bible exposition. The audience from all over the Philippines ask questions to the religious guru and answers all the questions from the Bible.
One such question is how to handle answer polemical questions from other religion. He answered that the arguments can be settled on the principle test of truth. What are the test of truth?
1. Logic
2. Reality
3. Bible
4. Agreeing on a standard or premise
Test of truth
For instance, to argue about the teaching of the religious group, we have to base the answer on say the Bible that was not written by their sects or writers or preacher but on a Bible that was written earlier. Say Jehovah's witness. The earlier Bible does not mention about Jehovah
About the claim of the Mormons that their Bishops can have as many as ten wives. The standard Bible say only one wife for a Bishop
The Buddhists mention to focus only on the present but not on past and future. The standard Bible enjoins parents to take care of the future of their children. On that basis the Buddhist teaching could not be true
