Whose afraid of the Chinese now.   (Yes they are our friends.  They too should be friendly too with us)

Gone were the days when the Visayan pintados attacked their villages.    May the spirit of the ancestors guide us in these difficult times    That the said people want to dominate us.    They should be the one who should be cautious   

We share the same plight during typhoons and other disasters (earthquakes) being neighbors.  Some of the richest in the PHL came from China, including the current SP.    

They rode on boats called balangay.   

This was during the time of Song dynasty (They were right about  ancestors of Cong Sung Tay ha6)

Does this mean that PHL before has conquered China (in particular Visayans?)

In his latest move, Pres DT has banned international students from enrolling at Harvard.

Is this related to his previous conflict with Harvard?

Is this directed towards Chinese, or the daughter of Xi?

Why is DT micromanaging even the educational system?

Is this good for America?  Is this good for the world?

Wont there a backlash from the academic community, and/or influential Harvard grads

Chinese ambassador sympathizes with flood victims (did we when there was flood in China)

Filipinos must not be discriminated by citizens of this country

Did you experience discrimination in  Korea (as it is alleged?)

They should not.   Our country was better off than theirs in the 1950s.  Our soldiers helped them defend their country from Chinese and North Korean invaders .  Philippines was one of the first countries to send soldiers to help Korea vs invasion by Nokors and Chinese.  They fought hard and died for them.  Some officers died for them

Show some respect and gratitude.   

They would be nobody and could have been prisoners and slaves.

It is not to be forgotten.   In the 1950s during the Korean war where Filipino soldiers fighting skills were tested.  

We remember the bravery and determination of the 900 Filipinos who were with Peftok, vs 40,000 Koreans and Chinese.  They never gave up and killed at least 7,000 Chinese and Koreans.  

We honor the bravery and fighting skill of our warriors.  And they did at foreign soil, and not for themselves but for the Koreans.   How much more if they did for themselves. Many officials died fighting.   

 Let this be a grim reminder

Foreign invaders in Philippine soil.   That would be very challenging for them.  Mention the weather, the difficult terrain.   The Abu Sayyaf and the NPA have proven this.    The Philippine govt cant end their wars

Gaming industry and Chinese workers driving up real estate prices in Manila

Yesterday, I was in the office of a former chair of Real Estate Company of the government, a former banker  who told me the fantastic real estate deals in MM.  Condo price/sm has risen to a record of P500,000/sm (up from mere P100,000 about 3 years ago)   In Forbes Park there were real estate deals involving sale of house and lot running in Billions of pesos.  Incredible but true.  What could be the reason?

1.  Well may be the market is awash in liquidity what with low interest rates on the bank deposit (1/4 of 1%)
     the BPO and OFW dollar remittances.

2.  But the more important thing is the influx of Chinese workers for POGO (Philippine Offshore Gaming Offices) (Phil is now the number 1 gaming spot in Asia even bigger than Macau and Singapore with most of them in the Bay (MoA area)  The developers there are having it so good like Double Dragon.  The Chinese according to Injap are paying at 30% premium.  and has pdc for say a 5 year contract.

There could be 200,000 or more Chinese workers (so BI is having a heyday hehe2 for its ....activities)
and have driven up prices of housing and office rental.  The Chinese invasion of the WPC is bad for us but the POGO invasion is doing good for the business and the financial markets...

TV network news were full of Chinese in Malaysia demanding apology from Malaysian government.  Bah they are guests of Malaysia and acting that way.  If they are to be dragged by police and and soldiers, they deserve such treatment.

These is the repeat of what they demanded from the Philippine govt and Pres of the Phil to apologize to Chinese with regards to killing of some Chinese tourists who died in a firefight of hostage taker police officer with SWAT.

We condole with the friends from China for the loss of their loved ones in the two incidents.  But who pulls the trigger and who and which caused the crash of the Malaysian jet were beyond the control of the Malaysians nor Filipinos.  The missing Malaysian MH370 jet as mysterious.    And thus their action are seen as abrasive, and a display lack of humility and understanding of the events.  And flaunting that they, the Chinese is now a power to contend with and probably can do whatever they want to do anywhere in the world (See that they blocked the path of Philippine Coast Guard in Ayungin shoal).  

So the best defense really is offense, as the big bro USA has shown in the past.
