Supreme Court declares 2024 2025 GAA unconstitutional - will individuals be held liable?

It is more fun criticizing

The Supreme Court has declared 2024 and 2025 GAA (nastional budget) unconstitutional    But will cases be filed since these are collegial collective work.  Its just like  filing a case vs frat members before-  you are unable to determine which blow killed the neophyte.

PBBM says DBM and Solgen will dispute the ruling

Can you impeach the President?   You must be able to clearly establlish that otherwise, no case

This post is thankful that SC has put its foot down on this corrupt practices.   "Unconstitutional"  We just thought that the whole country is going down... Its about time

Will the Pres, Congress and other leaders respect the SC, and comply...

To those who are spotless, throw the first stones

It is more fun criticizing

There is much talk about former chief of  a former powerful committee is coming back.   But look:   his networth went up by 3x during a 3 year period.     He was involved in various cases  which admittedly have been cleared    Who among investigating bodies are spotless.   Are we wasting further the taxpayers money in this palabas

Why are we having so much investigations that end up with nothing.   Entertainment?

US Bill Keep Call Centers Act of 2025 threatens PHL BPO industry's 2 million jobs and $30 billion contribution to GDP

It is more fun criticizing

US Bill Threatens BPO - Bilyonaryo

A proposed bill in USA (time for US politicians to shine) is threatening the loss and or decline of the Phl BPO industry that brings in $30 billion in revenues and supports 2 million workers.  Under the proposed act, US will penalize companies:    by not providing loans, grants and benefits if they keep call centers abroad.

A strict monitoring system will produce a Do not reward list of companies that will surely force many US companies to give up Call Centers in the Philippines.

US market is 70% of the PHL BPO total market.   This will surely hurt the PHL BPO

What does it mean to the Philippine economy to Philippine workers. ?    Many BPO workers wearn as much as $500 -700 /per month exclusive of health care.  Quite a blessing.

What would happen to the current BPO workers and the industry supporting this:    leasing companies, Cyberzone, buildings housing call centers, housing and rental units for the workers:   vans and angkas transporting BPO workers.

Can the new Committee on Appropriations, a Catholic school graduate, and masters at Harvard, steer the 2026 budget free from insertions and corruptions

It is more fun criticizing

This post has high hopes for the new Committee on Appropriations  chair Mikaela Suansing, a Philscience scholar, Ateneo Graduate, and Harvard Masters on Public Policy to be unlike her predecessor Co, who figured in what some say as more corrupt budget.

It did not happen with former head of said committee Sid Ungab

However, she cant do much when bicam meetings and minutes are sidestepped and there are insertions

We wish her the best of luck. and power

2025 Budget unconstitutional? - FPRRD; Palace says it is fake news.

It is more fun criticizing

Former President RRD and Cong. Sid Ungab, former head of Appropiations Committee at Congress before Elizalde Co, took note that the bicam conference report had blanks, there is no published 2025 budget yet.   That the signed bicam report as basis of 2025 GAA with blanks (also signed) violate the constitution (since only Congress can approve budget and no such bodies as bicam.  Many changes, deletion and insertion took place in bicam reports.  Also, it is provided that Congress can not increase budget that is higher provided in NEP.    Yet the OP budget ballooned.

Palace PBBM says the allegation are fake news.

Clearly some negligence violation of the constitution happened in the 2025 budget.   Dep Ed got lower budget than DPWH.   (The constitution provides for higher budget of Dep Ed.  Someone did not read or has not memorized the 1987 constituion.

Vic Rodriguez clarified that the evidentiary evidence had blanks.   The Palace maybe inserted in the final version.  But the bicam report bore the smoking gun.

Is this not too much negligence, garapalan, and gross violation of constitution and must be stopped?

"Worst ever?" 2025 GAA....

It is more fun criticizing

AKAP and ballooning unprogrammed appropriation  are still a big problem, And increasing non revenue sources.  (Which involves diverting funds from GOCC)

Why did they did not listen, and railroaded the GAA?
