More discussion on Phl 2025 GAA. Who is liable? Will somebody be charged? Impeached or censured at least?
It is more fun criticizing
Will there be accountability and responsility in this controversy? Why is budget being passed this way? Can we we do this right? WHO FILLED IN THE BLANKS?
The DBM web site that alleges contain the copy of 2025 GAA, Biecam report NEP are inaccessible.
Are contents being corrected?
Calls are now being insinuated not to pay taxes as the budgetting is very corrupt. Can we have capable Legistlative and Executive leadership
It pains the taxpayer that he/she works very hard, and even harrassed by BIR to pay taxes. And this is the way the budget process goes?

Most corrupt budget in history? -- Fmr DOF Usec Magno
It is more fun criticizing
Former Department of Finance Usec Magno called out in a post that the 2025 budget which the Bicam approved (railroaded ? not having been thoroughly reveiwed by some Senators) to be the most corrupt. This post guess that: 1. The dagdag to Ayuda, and DPWH 2. Reduction in education and health (embodied in the constitution to be the priority)
Increased DPWH budget and AKAP are ripe for corruption and AKAP will be the kitty for 2025 for election by Senators (P200 million each) and Congressmen (P80 million each) Thats a lot of pork. Whoever thought of this and those who framed this budget must not be reelected and/or the ones impeached. A wholesale plunder!. As the good former Usec has called out
Thought time for a change. A better life. The family known for the corrupt practices then, the brother and sister have been true to their DNA.

FPPRD names alleged corrupt officials

Wheels of Happiness
FPRRD years back named several "alleged" corrupt congressman and DE of DPWH. Several DE were relieved by FPRRD.
Would PBBM administrationn have PAOCC investigate such Congress DPWH corruption. Is it OK to let graft and corruption go unchecked? It is the norm (billions being lost to corruption) We are financing most of our deficity through borrowing Our govt indebtednesss now stands at PHP 16 trillion
There is nothing new about the modus of our congressmen and DE. Most have become billionaires
Now it becomes clear that some of the Congressmen/women are exacting revenge.

Ang ating lipunan ay isa pa ring pyudal
It is more fun criticizing
Hindi kayang pigilan ito ng saligang batas, ombuudsman, Blue Ribbon committee, Code of Conduct and EThics of govt officials.
Ano sa palagay ninyo? May tuldok, ending ba itong, sistemang piyudal

Expensive get up of Congresswoman, head of appropiations committee not congruent with fiscal discipline
It is more fun criticizing
There was an immediate reaction to the netizens noting the expensive accessories of the good Congresswoman, a noted Economics Professor at UP - her bags, her watch, earrings, necklace.
Obvisously, the allies of OVP rallied behind Duterte.
This is going to be a bashers war and I hope this stops. This is not good for the nation moving forward.
This does not speak well of our politicians. Dr. Ong who is sick right now remarked politicians are corrupt. Not a good word for our lawmakers It is sad to note that the Legislature is the 2nd republic with its own police, prosecutor justices, and jail. This post wonders if they still remember that they are out there to make laws not war with citizens.

Killers of Korean national ruined PNP - Lacson
After the Senate hearing on kidnapping murder of Korean national in Angeles City involving cops Raphael Dumlao and Ricky Sta Isabel, one cant help but a frightening and sickening view of the PNP. Despite the pronouncements of Bato and the rest of the leadership to rid the force of corruption, the said situation is far from over. How can they solve crimes when they themselves are into crimes like the tokhang for ransom, planting evidence, stealing from the houses/buildings of suspects. The objection vs this operations and wrongful arrests and killings are real. In this case, they can fabricate cases and have suspects bailed out for ransom.
Nakakasuka ang mga ganitong kaganapan. And yet Bato seems to be proud or his men. It is time for cleansing and purging of the force of rotten cops. It will take time. It did not happen overnight. In the past, heads of PNP and generals were alleged (as it is now ) involved in high profile crimes, like murder, letting suspects escape from Camp Crame for a hefty fee (like Al Ghozi which was publicized abroad),alleged murder of high profile personalities, hold ups.
The past leaderships have abetted this culture of corruption, making money while in service. They are not here to serve and protect.
Mga kabayan, ingat sa mga kotong cops. For the street barker who are everywhere (and jeepney drivers AUV drivers) have to cough up at least P5 for each one of them (there are about 2 dozens along the route) and they say there is tong pats for the cops assigned at the beat. How? My

Possible complications in the war vs drug
It is more fun criticizing
Rizal Philippines
October 15, 2016
Before the war on drugs started, we have heard horror stories about police, prosecutor, and even judges making hay on drug cases. (Why there were members of the judiciary involved) Now there are so many cases, the anomalies could be more.
It is sad that people die from the encounter; those who live may have more horror stories with regards to bails, allowing posting of bails. etc.
It is hope that corruption in this petty cases have been eliminated and that there more honest cops, prosecutors and judges.

Pres Duterte names 5 PNP generals involved in Drugs
It is more fun criticizing
Rizal Philippines
July 6, 2016
Pres Duterte in an unprepared speech named the 5 PNP generals allegedly involved/linked to drugs. They are: Gens: Garbo, Loot, Pagdilao, Tinio and Diaz. Duterte diverted from the prepared speech to divulge the top level corruption at PNP. He said he instructed PNP Director General De la Rosa to talk to the 5 and today, he reported he did. The Pres said it is a shame that these generals were sent to military academy on scholarship, fed, housed and given uniform to pay back with this treason?
I am familiar with one of the generals who lives in Ayala Alabang and has various real estate holdings.
The Napolcom announced that the worse punishment could be just dismissal from service.
No wonder we get low level policemen involved in these drugs. The heads lead the tails. The bad generals lead bad cops.
It is time we end this anomaly. I was just wondering why it did not happen during the time of Pres Ramos, Arroyo, and Aquino. Kudos to Pres Duterte for having the guts and moral courage to do this. Mabuhay kayo

Can politicians really deliver promise to save citizens from poverty?
Social and political criticisms
Rizal PHL May 17, 2013
The election is over and looking back the winners won on slogans of protecting the poor, and lifting them from poverty.
The leading senatorial lady elect candidate just did that - promising to take care of the poor. How noble and how stately promises.
But can they really do it?
Erap went for motto, "Erap para sa mahihirap" and easily won.
But poverty is a complex situation in life. The government is not equipped to solve the personal problems of citizens. The responsibility to exist and survive and be successful belongs to the individual and not government.
To pretend that the public sector leadership can solve the problem is a deception if not an outright lie. Yet many are gullible enough to believe.
If we are to solve poverty through budgets and social welfare legislature, then we simply defer the inevitable and states are ill equipped to administer dole outs and social welfare. There is simply too little resources to feed millions of hungry mouths. If at all activists hate and wants to remove politics of patronage. Ie the feudal landlord relationships, where feudal landlords dictate the lives of their fiefdom. Nothing is achieved to repair/recast the system and the whole cycle of poverty remains.
In European countries and USA, the socialist leaning of governments to fight poverty through state welfare, without corresponding productive and adaptive capabilities has resulted in financial bankruptcies of states. Their governments borrowed heavily to fund social programs: health, education and welfare, resulting in massive billions of debt that governments can not hope to pay.
Even more so, how can you not charge taxes and still finance the social welfare, and/or service the huge debts?
The other alternative/options would be to fund this from: PCSO, lotto, or contributions by contractors, lobbyists, other vested interests, and /or jueteng. And eventually, the politician would be labelled as corrupt.
Are the promises too simplistic, not well understood by those who mouthed them, or they just took the gamble.
At the end of the day, they would be unable to keep their promises and be junked later in the next election
